ON TOPIC: Life forms, I have no doubt that they exist on other planets, but intelligent technologically savvy beings, it's a mere theory. I maintain Farcasts POV whereby if there were such beings, they would have found us by now.

 

That's a slightly depressing thought then; a high probability that other life is out there somewhere, but we'll never be able to reach it.

Speculation is all we have sadly.

However, there could well be simple life in our own solar system. Jupiter's moon Titan almost certainly holds liquids, and another of it's moons, Europa, is thought to hold oxygen and liquid water.

While it's almost impossible that either of these bodies would hold beings we could communicate with, it is an example of how the conditions in which life could arise aren't too rare.

We have not been to every single world ever created, so we cannot know for sure.

There out there somewhere, we have only been broadcasting signals for the last 60 or so years so we would have the best chance of life finding us within 60 LYears of our planet. The chance of us finding them is slim, so we are entirely reliant on them finding us.

 

60 Light Years is a distance, not a measurement of time.

It would not be irrational to assume that there is life outside Earth as there are a vast amount of materials in space that are the building blocks for life.

Our own Earth is but a tiny spec on the grande scale of things, being located just at the tip of an astral spiral, because space is constantly expanding, this means the chances of a solar system similar to ours is inevitable; we can't be one the only planet that can harbor life.

I believe in aliens and i do believe they are among us in our every day life. From lots of information i've read up on this shit, aliens have helped us to an extended point. working with the US government swapping bits of information for alien materials etc.

Um, Titan has liquefied water; scientists also speculate that Europa does indeed have liquid water underneath it's icy surface.
Scientists are comparing Titan with an early Earth with a much colder surface temperature due to Titan's anti-greenhouse effect.
By the way, chemically, water is the same despite it's physical state.

Firstly, if the "Aliens" were living with us they wouldn't be aliens, just another form of animal.
secondly, what are we swapping with them? What materials have we received/given. I can't imagine that we have anything of value to trade with them.
