Rake, Spade, Gardening Trowel, Axe, Water Can, Seeds, Pot, Compost.

Fill the pot with soil, insert seed in pot, water the seed, wait five minutes, compost soil, plant pot, wait (x) amount of time, pick/cut down tree, remove roots, repeat.

I recommend planting herbs, flowers, and allotments while you're waiting for trees as they take quite a while to grow.

I think he was meaning the various teleport/items to travel from patch to patch and in which order he should do it in for the most effective outcome.
(i hardly plant trees so i am not realy a expert :) hate farming tbh )

I always did Varrock tree spot, then spirit tree tele from Ge - Stronghold and do the Gnome tree spot, then Lumby tele and do that tree spot, fally tele and do Fally tree spot, then run up to Taverly tree spot.

When I did normal tree runs.

I teleported to falador, then walk to the one near travelly, then falador again for the tree patch in the park, lumbridge (patch west of castle) and then varrock for the patch in the castle.

There is also a tree patch in the gnome stronghold, which I got to by using the tree teleports. Use the one in the grand exchange to get there.

I only used the four tree spots, didn't use the gnome stronghold one cause I hate getting there. But I always grew trees there overnight.

I know this isn't exactly what you're after but don't waste the inventory space on compost for regular trees. Fruit trees you should still use it on, but for regular trees it won't increase the EXP gained or how long it grows etc, so it's essentially pointless.

There is no point using compost on trees full stop.

Just pay the farmer to look after your crops. I think you can't even add the compost to the patch in the first place

Only use compost for herbs and the fruit allotment.

This is how I do my farm runs:

    1. Start - Varrock
    2. Run tree patch by castle. Check exp and re-plant.
    3. Run spirit tree - tele gnome stronghold
    4. Run fruit tree patch by agi arena. Check exp and re-plant.
    5. Run tree patch by bank. Check exp and re-plant.
    6. Run spirit tree - tele to gnome maze
    7. Follow Elkoy and leave maze.
    8. Run fruit tree patch by willows. Check exp and re-plant.
    9. Tele Fally
    10. Run Fally garden tree patch. Check exp and re-plant.
    11. Run Taverly.
    12. Run Taverly tree patch. Check exp and re-plant.
    13. Tele Lumbridge.
    14. Run tree patch behind castle. Check exp and re-plant.
    15. Tele house (Brimhaven)
    16. Exit house and run calquat patch. Check exp and re-plant.
    17. Run fruit tree patch by docks. Check exp and re-plant.
    18. Charter to Catherby.
    19. Run fruit tree patch by mountain. Check exp and re-plant.

I have not included the elf tree as I don't have access to it.
I think it can be easily reached with a teleport, though.

You should plant some herbs while you're farming trees; it's good money.

If you can do calquats, do them. It is about 12k exp every time you check its health. Though, there is one patch and it takes around a day to grow.
