First off you want to make sure the skill you're getting is a F2P Skill. Or else this will not work.

2nd. You must be in a F2P world when getting your 99.

3rd. Make sure you DROP your cape AND hood BEFORE you get 99.

4th. Get 99 in whatever skill you're searching for.

5th. TELLY GRAB your Cape AND hood

6th. Enjoy your 99 untrimmed!

7th. When buying your new 99 Cape it WILL be trimmed but your 1st 99 Cape will not

NOTE: Buying a NEW cape of your OLD 99 skill WILL trim the cape. So be careful not to lose your cape! Or you're screwed lol

This is old and well known. Most people just don't think of it when they get their 99's cuz they're to excited. Thanks for sharing anyway .
