    Greatest speech ever?

That whole movie was stupid. Filled with crap that only appeals to 12 year olds because they think it's cool.

I've never seen either one of those movies, they never really appealed to me so I kind of agree haha

Both of you need to cool it with the biased opinion(s). Two people share different perspectives.. does this surprise you at all? Grow up.

Are we not aloud to hold a small argument/debate? We're merely expressing our opinions.

No, you're not expressing your opinion. You are declaring that the boondock saints series are two of the absolute best films in cinema history, and ordering your oppressor to 'shut the fuck up'. Mean while, Blindkilla is stating that the film was written for 12 year old children, and totally detesting against it.

These are not opinions fluctuating between each other with creative debate following behind, this is an argument pre-mature in the making just waiting to explode until a moderator locks the thread.. and we don't want that do we?

I could constructively give you multiple, thorough reasons as to why the Boondock Saints movies are NOT even close to great films of our time.. but i will not declare this objectively- because it is my personal opinion.

Learn the difference between declaration and expression.

Wow. When I declared that they were two of the greatest movies ever made, that was my own opinion. Obviously not everyone is going to feel that way. Also have you noticed that this isn't even an argument, he's given one opinion and has yet to my response. I don't see as a immature in any way.

I didn't think highly of either film. Although the first one was better than the second.

I feel the greatest speech ever (or at least one of them) was at the end of the film American History X where Danny recites the ending of his essay. Extremely moving part if any of you are interested, fantastic movie as well, I recommend you watch it if you haven't already seen it.

That's actually one of my other favorite movies, the speech at the end is pretty amazing, if you didn't know that quote was from Abraham Lincoln.

Don't expect anyone to take what you said any other way than how you stated initially. If you were expressing personal opinion you could've established that the two films were favorites of yours.... claiming that they are the greatest films ever made is over the top.

You're right, he hasn't replied yet- his lack of response doesn't mean that if i didn't decide to be the martyr here hostility wouldn't have broken loose.

Edward Norton was outstanding in this film.

After the first time seeing it, I watched it a second time hours later because the movie drew me in so much, there were many messages to take away from it. I did extensive research on it as well, and would definitely place it on my top 5 favorite movies of all time.

Yes, that quote at the end of it was Abraham Lincoln - and what an appropriate quote as well.

Agreed. One of his best roles in a movie to date - right up there with his performance in Fight Club.
