No. I would use it, but the staff wouldn't be bothered with this, if we just watch our backs, and pick our trades wisely, we can avoid the scammers.

    I disagree
    Poor admins!
Plus IDK bout you guys but I do NOT want some guy from the internet coming to my house......
Also this would easily decrease the amount of people using sythe so I definitely disagree

Hell no. I'm not going to have members pull out the 'trust card' simply because I won't give some internet mods my address and phone number.

Good idea, but you have to remember that some people on Sythe.org do not have Paypal. I don't have a Paypal account. If your idea came into effect, I wouldn't be trusted on Sythe because I have nothing to verify. Alot of trades would be declined with trusted people just because they haven't verified something they don't have.

    1. Out of those 185k members, more than half are banned.

    2. They could send their letters to the same email that Matthew gets the donations.

Ok a couple of things wrong with this.
    1. people that don;t have paypal
    2. people that don't want to give out information
    3. admins don't want to deal with it

another question. So does this mean then that a complete noob could be level 3 because they would just have to donate something then have a phone call then mail a letter all that can be done within 2 days.

    Most sellers DO have paypal.

I agree with this part; if there was a more automated method to do this
it seems like a good way.

Lol, take note that now most of the people against this are now banned for scamming ;P And what I meant in the beginning was that it was OPTIONAL, just an added bonus. I don't really care anymore, it would just save a hella amount of money for some people, instead of using OMM's. And I think it also would be effective because I know if I was scammed for more than 120 dollars I would definitely go to the persons house (saying they are fully verified), and if it was less than 50 it wouldn't have been worth it to scam. I don't really care anymore :p

Doing this would also eliminate OMM's is what your thread says. No support.

It won't eliminate scammers, having steps in of verification for paypal, phone etc.. i've been scammed for 100s of mills in the early days and i had there i.p addresses , home addresses etc.. and never did i book a flight to go see them. adding something like this will only make a scammer have more backup with something like this, saying "i'm not a scammer i'm verified" etc etc.. i think they're thing that can be put in place to reduce scammers but i think you've just got to have enough common sense to not get scammed and use an OMM.

And you turn up at his house, he plays innocent. or beats the living shit out of you, then you've had your arse whooped, $120 scammed and now down on travelling costs too, also why would anyone want an entire forum to be able to view there address etc. i wouldn't put mine on simply just for fraud prevention and there are a lot more reasons also.

I believe services maybe should go though a verification process not publicly though. Other than that In b4 Fail.
