So I left my bot on for 10 hours...

I've woken up to my character just standing in soul wars for 10 hours because I forgot to log to completely stop the iBot client.

Questions:

1: How long should I wait before I go back to botting?
2: If I were to get banned, would my appeal be accepted for the following reasons: If I were to claim it wasn't me, would it be accepted? I do all my botting on a VPS which has an IP in America, with all my legit playing done on my own IP address in Ireland.

 

1. No point waiting, if you've been reported/seen by a mod, you'll be banned soon anyway, may as well get back to botting.

2. If you'd changed your pass before using your vps then recovered the account on your home IP (if it gets banned), then you'd of had a good chance at the 'hacked appeal'.

 

I'd give it a period of time that would suffice as a sleeping pattern. It's pretty believable that they put how long you're playing into consideration when flagging/banning your account.

I was recently banned on my pure and I ran it for 12 hours a day, but very sketchy patterns. 00:00 to 12:00 one day and 12:00 to 00:00 the next and I believe that contributed to my ban.

One night shouldn't hurt you.. but it'd help to keep ^^ in mind.

 

Changed the pass there, hoping it doesn't come down to a ban.

Depends, did you level up etc?

Also 4-7hr break will do it fine. And anyone who said change the password is completely dumb, that would make it more suspicious and may result in a ban hammer.

OT: Ddon't bother taking breaks, taking a long break after continuous botting will look more suspicious then just resuming playing.

Put it this way, if your an avid player(botter) , 10 hours a day for like 3 months, wouldn't it seem suspicious if your mouse movements, and game time would change for a week since you start playing legit?

So, do what the hack appeal thingy, change your ip on your computer, go to another computer, recover your account as stolen, put new recovery questions, change passwords a few time, then start botting again.

It literally stood in the same spot for around 9 hours, I'm worried some other people noticed and reported.

 

I've had a bot clicking on a tree for 14 hours without a rune hatchet and nothing happened >_< except for a ban like 3 months later but I think thats cus I was 24/7 VPS botting

 

If it didn't walk around most people would assume afk'er. Their probably isn't much to worry about.

 

Well I've gotten away with a ton of shit so in reference to history I should be ok.

 

Out of curiosity, what domain is registered to your VPS?
Hopefully nothing like that one kid who put in 'rsbotsftw.com'.

If they ever review your account they'll see your dns as whatever you put.

 

At first it was something like that, lol(for the first day). But then I just changed it to a random non-rs related name.

What where you wearing. If your standing still wearing full 3rd age or something rare like that people might of noticed other wise your probably fine.

 

In my experience takes jagex around 3 months to actually ban you. So GL!
