Why would someone who thinks taxation is theft think that its wrong to avoid said theft...

It's only wrong if you use government services afterward.

To a certain extent Gambling is good, because it provides entertainment, employment, and wealth (unlikely), however I would agree that Governments should take more time to stress Gamble-Awareness. This is my brief general view on this.

Why should the American government tax Poker players? They do not produce anything, its like they just exchange papers(money). Also don't forget that Poker is a skill game, its where good players make money off gamblers (fish).

Also, thanks to government it has made it harder for Poker players to make money due to UIGEA which went into affect June 1st.

Gambling can be good or bad, depending on you. BUT it is always good for the government.

If you can resist being addicted to gambling, it can be a good thing, entertains you, can give you small profits from time to time...
But if you get addicted, that's just bad. Sometimes you may win ALOT. But if you keep on doing it eventually you'll lose all of it, that's how the games are developed.

In governments POV, it's a good thing rather than a bad thing. Of course there are some seriously addicted gamblers, which use governments money, if they get under treatment. But on the other hand, goverment will get taxes, which can be used to cure diseases, increase the level of public libraries, hospitals, you name it.

Short answer to your first question: Neither, its Yes or No depending on the person, can't generalize.

Second question: NO, it's not immoral. It's obviously your call to start gambling or not. Yes, it's somewhat cruel, but not completely wrong.

How come it's theft? After all, it's your call to start gambling or not. Don't play don't lose.
    Further explanation please?

I was talking about tax, not gambling. But to a certain extent the same does apply.

Gambling is merely another way to take money from the people that live in this corrupt country. Except, you enjoy giving it to them through gambling. Sure, you might win some money on the way but in the long run, they make more money.

Who are "them"? Them are skilled players that take money from dumb gamblers. Its those people's faults for getting exploited by the politicians, sales people, and casinos. Its their responsibility to educate themselves. I have no sympathy from taking money from bad players or fish.

Gambling is fine as the people who participate are choosing to do so, there are many warnings, even sometimes from the people who run the casinos to stop people gambling irresponsibly. It is not wrong, it is not immoral, if you choose to gamble then that is your choice, and it is not our job to force them to choose to not gamble.
