So I was basically scanning my computer fully for viruses with it and it found a Trojan in itself. Fail Much?

And guess the coolest part! It deleted itself!

I don't use any anti viruses anymore, I'm not stupid enough to get a virus. But whenever my friends get a virus, and I help them out, I usually scan with Malwarebytes for them.

mcAfee is pretty crap, lags your computer and detects only 95% of known threats

AVG for the win. I have used McAfee, it was horrific. Same with Norton. AVG is really nice, doesn't lag my laptop (and my laptop lags if you open 2 internet browsers...) and it never lets viruses through, and if a virus does get through, it detects it instantly.

A virus probably just decided to extract itself to that folder. McAfee isn't too terrible, but it's very laggy.

That's kind of bold, sometimes you can get viruses that aren't very obvious. I used Bitdefender and it works quite well.

Ok then, I'll do a scan on my system, and I'll post back telling you what Malwarebytes found on my system, if there's nothing found, no need for an anti virus or anti malware or whatever program using up my disk space and processing and ram.

Edit: I don't suggest you be like me, unless you're really good with computers. If you're a noob, use an anti virus.

You are ignoring the possibility of viruses infecting useful programs.

Windows files frequently get infected. Windows MUST be a virus, yes?

This, when I had McAfee my computer ran a lot slower and I managed to get keylogged :/

Use Avast, it's a lot better IMO :D
