Old USB headers on an ancient computer... anyone care to help?

I have this really old AT computer. I would like to get the onboard USB working, but there's one problem. This motherboard has non-standard USB headers, and I can't figure out the correct wiring for them. There are two rows of five pins.
    ----- <---Like that. (12345, 67890)

Here's what I've found out: Pins 1-5 are USB1, and pins 6-0 are USB2. When VOLAGE is hooked to PIN1 and GROUND is hooked to PIN4, I am able to power devices such as an optical mouse.

I would like to figure this out through trial and error, but I have found out the hard way that this will mess up USB devices. I've ruined a 2gb flash drive and a card reader from trying to figure this out.

Does anybody have any ideas on this? I've searched long and hard to find information on this, but all I've found is a flimsy manual for the board that doesn't tell what the pins are for.

    Any help/input is appriciated.

Yeah, I know, and that's the weird thing. I've seen on some newer motherboards that there are two grounds (I have no idea why), a Data+, a Data-, and a +5v.

This motherboard is a Magitronic 2A59GG39 v.1.03, running at 200mhz. I found a diagram of the board on Google a while back, but it just told what everything was - it wasn't specific enough to give the USB headers.

    Read your motherboard's book.

IF you don't have it you can prob find it online..

I've been through this, I know it's a headache, but idk...

Wait a minute, are you trying to connect the case to the motherboard? Are you sure the case is compatible?

The "Onboard motherboard" is usually built in..you can't really remove it without breaking the mainboard.

I would have looked at the manual, but that was lost long ago. This board is 14-ish years old.

The board itself has pins that the headers can connect to, and I have a set of USBs that hook up to the headers, making the USBs usable on the backplate of the computer.

Not sure how to put that in better terms...

    Take a photo.

If anything, just do trial and error with some hardware that you won't need.

It's probably so outdated that it's not really worth trying to find out. A google search shows only this thread and three other useless links.

Id suggest getting a new computer, I know the usb headers on my motherboard have 4 on the first row, and 5 on the second.

True Gears, the computer I'm talking about isn't really my main computer.
It's just an old one I use for DOS based programs that newer computers simply can't run.

I just thought that having the functionability of a USB 1.0/1.1 port would be helpful in transferring things over to that computer quicker.
