That is Pi up to 66dp.
I memorised this some time during a maths lesson last year in my final days before graduation.
If anyone else has memorised Pi to a higher decimal placing and is not just copy/pasting a random amount off of wiki and counting them, claiming to have memorised it, I would love to hear your story as to why you decided to memorise it.

Probably won't get many hits, but worth a try.

 

3.14 that's all i know. last time i used it was when i was like 12 or so...today we use calcs for math.

There's something called a calculator
Type out pi and they will automatically do everything else for you...

If i attempt to memorize, I could only go to 3.1415.

I've memorized little of it, but this seems like something right up my alley. I know the alphabet backwards though. And there is a word for memorizing pi digits: Piphilology.

 

Why would you want to memorize that? I just memorized "3.142". It's easier to count that way. Are you a university student?

 

Because it's useful for anything right?

 

I also only know 3.142 but then again I use a calculator for maths, then again I am extremely bad at maths.

 

There's nothing practical about memorizing it. It's just for fun, plus it's pretty impressive.

I only know it as 3.14 depends on the question whether you have to go through more decimal places..

74 numbers of pi past the decimal point. Mmm. I learned an additional 76 and was beginning on the last 50 so I would have learned 200 over a year ago, but when the summertime hit I stopped, and lost the knowledge of the 76 numbers I had learned. I originally learned the numbers above when I was in 8th grade as due by a challenge my friends and I had to see who could memorize the most numbers in a day. After memorizing those, I've never forgotten them.

Also, my Mom wanted to check the balance on her credit card the other day. I dialed the phone number and entered the number she gave me, and I memorized those 16 digits in around 5 seconds. Haven't forgotten them since. XD Haha.
