This is the first signature I've ever made, with having little to no GFX Skills AT ALL. Also, it is currently entered in this weeks SOTW8. Thoughts? >_<
Tbh, it's horrible XD There's cutoff everywhere around the girl, it would look better with a border, the background doesn't fit very well (even if it's a kickass background), and the transparent copy of the girl looks out of place. I like the text though. It fits very well with the background. It's subtle while still noticeable, and the font looks good. Overall: 2/10
:'( What does it mean by the cutoff? For the transparency around the girl? It's like the first time I've ever tried making something transparent for now other than for RuneScape, and it was so difficult for me. I literally did it pixel by pixel personally and it took me around 1-2 hours. >.< I don't think the background fits either because of the girl used in the photo. If it was for some ocean/tropical image, I think it would've worked a lot better. :\ However.. the background.. I created that all by myself. >.< :'( Thanks. I actually thought that was the thing people would like the least. I just wanted to make it small enough but visible to put my mark on the image. Thanks for your opinion.
Don't worry, it's a first sig, you'll get better I mean the edges of the girl are pixelated. You did a really good job on cutting her out of the original pic, but you should have use the smudge tool or a very slight blur filter around the edges. And like I said, if you keep making GFX and take other peoples advice, you'll get MUCH better at it.
It looks much better than my first attempt at a sig. I would say you have good potential. The only advice i really have is avoid placing your render in a corner, as it leaves alot of open space.
I disagree, placing your render in the corner or the side is good, because the image can flow in a certain direction, rather than just out. For example, if you have your render on the left, and you make the backround get darker as you go right from the render, the image flows right.
If you're ever going to use a photographic stock, avoid rendering it completely- instead you should utilize the background, and edit it to your benefit.
Should have put her in the middle, made her edges look a little softer and maade the sigs width smaller. Way better than my first try, kiu
Also, forgot to mention. Maybe you should rotate her counter-clockwise a bit, since she looks like she's about to keel over dead.
