[denied] Increase the vouch-bump timer from 10 minutes to 30 minutes

Right now, per rules, you can bump your threads with a vouch but that vouch must be under 10 minutes old and correspond to the sales thread. I find the time limit of 10 minutes to be unrealistic.

The rule is a bit odd. Does that mean that you're only able to quote the vouch within a 10 minute frame of it being posted by someone? If so, I support increasing the limit. If you're running a business and have a lot of traffic, I can easily see someone missing that 10 minute limit.

 

I like what you're saying, and I have read this thread a couple of times now.

The problem I personally face is it can be used to essentially milk bumps. As of right now we sit at a 6 hour window for normal bumps, what about those inbetween as you're saying yourself are trade vouches. Does this mean we then allow those on top of the 6 hour, or do we have a vouch section for a reason which should instead be used.

50/50 on my end right now until more comments I read can change my mind.

Thats why I am only proposing increasing it from 10 to 30 minutes. Its mostly an extension to cover communication delays and stuff to allow you to actually use vouches to bump. 100% get where you are coming from but I feel like since its not very beneficial to take advantage of not many people do. If we want to have a more active community we should be encouraging sellers to get their customers to leave vouches.

Its a fine line between it being abused and it working as intended.


Also, its 4 hours not 6. Right? Modernizing sythe rules and updating the bump rule

 

"If you are quoting a vouch from your vouch thread to bump your relevant market thread you must do so within 10 minutes of it being posted."

is the current rule I am posting for discussion. I have confirmed it is still in effect.

 

No support, if you cant correlate your transactions between Sythe, and whatever social platform your using within 10 minutes that's on you.

Also this suggestion is kind of pointless with the Auto-Bumper, and Vouch Thread. We see the same threads in the market everyday any way.

However, You have my support if they get rid of the terrible Auto-Bumper Perk.
