    computer tech question...

I am looking to buy a new laptop, because my desktop constantly freezes (literally, if im in RS for 5 minutes it freezes) and I know a guy willing to sell me a laptop computer for a good price, which I can afford.

    Its a Dell Insprion 9300

    Intel Pentium M (1.6GHz, 533MHz FSB)
    1GB DDR2 ram at 533MHz
    Nvidia Go 6800 256MB
    80GB hard drive
    WXGA+ (1440x900) Ultrasharp 17" widescreen LCD (non-glossy, non TrueLife)
    Intel 2200 802.11 b/g wireless card
    DVD-ROM/CD-RWx24
    Windows XP Home
    6-cell 53 watt/hour battery
    2 X 90W ac power supply

He said the only problem is that the battery doesn't hold a charge, which isnt a problem because I wouldnt be mocing it much at all, plus if I needed to, batteries are decently cheap. When I asked him about it freezing, he said "only unexpected shutting off is when the plug comes out as the battery doesn't hold a charge. As far as freezing not sure how to answer that as every computer freezes at some point or another? I guess nothing that seemed like a problem to me just normal use freezing?"

Id only be paying $150, so its a goooood price. Just wondering if you guys think its worth it. I have no clue what about half of those specs mean, so yeah. I really only use computers for Runescape, youtube, Windows Media Player, and recording MW2 gameplay from my Xbox 360. Should I buy it?

    Thanks guys

Oh, it's very frequent for laptop batteries to go out every few years. It'll just need a new battery and it's cheap. If it's still under warranty it'll be free.

Also, used electronics = frequently lying about whether or not they work.

    PS: wrong forum.

It's an ok deal for a Laptop that doesn't hold a charge. Don't expect the Laptop to run RuneScape HD perfectly fine, it can probably run Standard ok. I got my Laptop for $280, 2.0GHz Pentium Dual Core, 4GB of Ram, 320GB hard drive, the only bad thing about it is the integrated graphics card sucks, it's an Intel, but runs Crysis at everything low with like 10 - 15 FPS, which is not bad. But yeah, I think that's an ok deal for a Laptop.

The laptop has very low specs but it will do it for runescape and youtube ofcourse. Don't expect playing (newer) games with it because the CPU and RAM isn't good enough.
As long as you stick to Runescape this is a good deal(I don't know the prices of Laptops in your regio).
In my regio a decent laptop cost about 1000 euro (1 218.6 U.S. dollars).
