will vps botting prevent a ban?

i was wondering, will botting on a vps prevent an account from getting banned? if you know for sure then how?

if not then could you either post or pm me some tips to limit the chance of getting banned. im fairly new to botting.

No, a VPS would not make the ban rate lower on your account.

However, it provides a different IP and you could say it wasn't you, but Jagex doesn't really accept any macro appeals anymore. But don't be to upset, sometimes a temp ban is all thats given for a first offence macro.

It's the same as if you were botting from your PC, you are botting, you risk your acc!

Botting is botting. Regardless if it's a VPS or not. It does give you an advantage though, you could say your account was hacked since it's an IP different than yours in a different country/state and possibly get unbanned. Other than that, no it's the same as botting on a PC. All a VPS is really is a part of a server your renting.

thanks for the advice guys i was thinking of buying one but got a friend to give me an old $100 laptop and pretty much the only thing on it is my bot client and internet explorer and notepad haha so this has been working fine for me

 

^Depending on your power usage/bandwidth allowance from your ISP, buying a VPS may save you money. It also has a pretty awsome uninterruptable connection (unlike most ISPs). I can frequently get 40h+ proggys on my VPS while on my laptop the connection messes up.

 

I have a few friends that use a VPS for botting, none of them have ever banned but im guessing its just pure luck...so no I don't think it does

 

Botting on a VPS will not make the slightest difference in ban rate. It is just botting on a different IP, which frees up space from your own personal computer. It is like running your own bots on your friends computer; no difference.

 

If you go on the VPS, change the account's password from that VPS and then bot on it you can say that the account was 'hacked' and that you weren't the one botting. But, then you can't play legit either.
