Runescape market analyzing program

Over the last 4 days I've been working on a Django/Python application that aims to predict which items would be good to invest in at the Grand Exchange. I don't play Runescape any more, but I decided to challenge myself with this project. This application works by polling the prices of every Grand Exchange item when it is updated. With a price history for every item, it is possible to make predictions about where prices are likely to go in the future. This is what merchants do on a regular basis, but automated and able to process many more items that a human could. So far I have gotten the price history part of the application working. It's installed on my server and it runs 24/7 looking for price updates.

The last step is making predictions based on graph shape. I've already written some code for this, but it's still in progress. I'm using the same methods I used when I was a merchant. I'm posting this thread since I'm looking for people willing to help out. The project is completely open source. All the source code can be accessed at http://github.com/cmwslw/autotrader. It would be nice if any Python programmers could pitch in, but any merchanting tips in general will be welcomed.

BTW, I remember running across that described the Grand Exchange in detail. By detail I don't mean a guide, but they went into detail about how it worked. If anyone has a link to a site like that, it would be nice to have that with me.

I'd be weary of this kind of post too.
More often than not it's linked to malicious software, even though sometimes by good intent.

 

Surprisingly, it looks fairly legitimate, if only in the first stages of development.
There is nothing to download yet, so unless there is something that is capable of giving viruses from the web page itself, I wouldn't worry about it.
