Building botting PC

Hey im looking to build a PC to only bot on.
Will be using tribots LG and need to be able to run 10+
If anyone could recommend me parts or what i should look for myself in cpu etc..
Also any tips how i would go around getting HWID banned?

 

Can Google something like "cpu run bots osrs" to see estimates on what CPUs can run how many.
As far as I know, Jagex doesn't HWID ban.

 

I would look into something like a cheap ryzen processor with 6 or 8 cores combining with a cheap (maybe second hand) video card since they don't have integrated graphics.
Also if you are in the US check out reddit/r/buildapcsales great deals which come by very often

As for HWID bans, I don't think that's an actual thing for runescape botting.

Idk if it's just me, but RM seems to use aloooot of processing power.. ram too.
So if you plan on using RM, i'd say 16-32gb ram, preferably 8+ core CPU (Intel all the way, get the newest you can)..

ohh, and water cooling running basic fans is gonna be a pain in the ass with more than 3 pcs.

and you might aswell up it to 60 bots, and then do a 3 pc setup, using a 3 split since you only want to run the bots 10 hours a day.. up it to 12 hours, and run 2 "groups" a day A/B to cover all 24 hours for that maximum efficiency ^^

so do;
1) 20 - 10/10 - 12 hours each
2) 20 - 10/10 - 12 hours each
3) 20 - 10/10 - 12 hours each

A good base to start is:

MSI gaming pro motherboard with SOCKET 2066 ( but isn't cheap )
or msi x299 raider motherboard SOCKET 2066 ( cheaper )
msi geforce gtx 1070 8gb
feeding 750 watt
kingston hyperX 32gb DDR4 or higher depends on you
Extreme intel core i7 7740x
( and a case )
cooler for your processor and a toothpaste ( im not sure the name of it in english, to keep the processor socket cool. )
i think that whould be a nice way to start and work higher on...

 

Not to be rude or anything but how could you recommend Intel over a Ryzen for a botting computer at this time, price to performance wise. (Especially since more cores = better for botting and handling multiple clients)

If it was a pure gaming computer sure I could see the point as Intel usually pulls more FPS in games but AMD handles workload and processing power way better at this stage AFAIK.

I do agree on the amount of RAM tho 16gigs or more would be nice, I think 16gigs will be good for starting and you could up it to 32gigs if you decide to buy 2x8 memory modules.

As for the PSU I once disagree again, you don't need that much power 500watt will be fine, you don't need a 1070 8gb for OSRS botting heck you don't even need a 1060... a 1050Ti will be more then enough for running clients because most clients support disabling rendering now a days.

Spoiler: Ryzen 2700X VS. Intel i7-7740X

As you can see the performance is near identical, if not better on Ryzen for Workstation (Which is preffered with high workloads e.g. running a load of clients) for half the price.

EDIT: Also the Ryzen has double the cores and threads which is once again what you want for heavy workloads.

This Pc Would be able to run around 30-70+ Running 0.256GB ram.

You will Profit this Back in less than 30 Days. if you dont then you do something WRONG!

 

how much would that cost roughly?

 

6 clients on my ryzen 5600x 6core and 3060ti.
dont cheap out on your processor. i struggle to run more than 6 on this.

alternatively, look into a VPS

 

have you considered using a VPS? Better option IMO
