What do you like/dislike about Sythe?

I was just thinking about this in class today. I was digging to see what I like about Sythe and what I dislike about it.

Like:
Friends on Sythe. This is one of the main reasons. Without my friends, my time on Sythe would be very crappy and boring. But thank goodness, I've found a few good friends that I can count on.

Dislike:
The fact that Sythe seems to be an infestation of scammers lol. I guess it's just because we're the biggest blackmarket out there, so naturally, scammers would want to be here as there is more gullible prey.

So please, share what you like or dislike about Sythe. I am curious to know what you guys think about Sythe.

 

I like: the community, really, the community is great. The people who actually contribute and post around seem to be the good people.

I dislike: the people who only ever post in the market section who seem to be the people who are just here for the money. I actually hate people who put the things in there signatures like: "90% of people on Sythe are scammers, put this in your signature if you are the other 10%" I think they are the scammers who I don't like.

So basically, I like legit honest people and I dislike scammers/lier's

Dislike: How so many of the Sythe staff, and members who I believe are/were cool, screw up and get banned.

 

I like - Coming here to talk about RS, off topic and the diverse sections we have here.

Dislike - People who dont understand a damn bot can't go 1 - 99 overnight. Also would like to see a lot more intelligent traders out there.

You misunderstand me. I meant what you like/dislike about Sythe. Not WHO. I don't want this thread to turn into a flame war.

Like: The community

I agree and disagree with you. I agree because you're partly right. I disagree because by posting who you like/dislike, people would get offended/make fun of you.

For example, I noticed you had quite a few staff/ex-staff on your like list. Some people might interpret that you're sucking up.

 

Nah only person i suck up to is spyike ill admit that, and thats just for the reason hes awesome. Your on my buddy list now am i sucking up to you? Have my babies? ha just kidding, but your interpretation is wrong. I Removed the post and sorry Gurtation dont really have any beef with you just figured id see what you say, and my conclusion was right an insult.:noworry:

 

Like: The off-topic section and the discussions.

Dislike: People who rage on the Internet like it actually means a thing. People who take the Internet too seriously. Peace man. Also, I dislike you Necro... Just kidding. :love:

 

Like: Friends, Humor, Money

Dislike: Idiots

 

Basically summed up everything what I was going to say.

 

Like: Most blackmarkets are corrupt, with a rule of pretty much "anything goes"; it's unusual for a blackmarket to have a standard of integrity, and that is one of the biggest reasons that I chose to be active on this site instead of others. I also do like that there are so many scammers to chase. When bored or in a crabby mood, they can be fun to play with.

Dislike: The site attracts an unfortunate audience: immature, self-serving, etc. It's odd, because there are plenty of older runescape players; but wherever they go, it's not here. I do think it would be beneficial for the site to branch out, and actively try to capture a completely different demographic; perhaps for one of the currently underrepresented games.

 

Like: This community is very interdependent, users are always avid to help whether it be a technical issue, or a personal crisis. Most are very comfortable with each other and are able to confide in one another- this is rare within an online community and there is a true chemistry involved.
Although i do not use the marketplace i am still appreciative over the potential prosperity one can attain if their business is legitimate- i believe the market was initially the foundation of this community and although it is tainted it is still a generosity given to us members that we all strive to keep clean to this very day.

Dislike: I believe the community is overstaffed, some may be inactive, others are incompetent to say the least. Reputation is easily gained through connection and with power one can become corrupt- this is certain for all levels of a society so i suppose this con is an inevitability.
I very much dislike the dominant mentality few veteran members have confessed, and i also can't help but criticize the generic illiterate member who comes off as more of a nuisance then a team player.

 

Like - My avatar, some people are legit, and nice.

Dislike - The rudeness of some of the people on this forum, the amount of trolls and some of the staff members. Also, infractions are handed out willy nilly for the silliest of things.

 

This, you summed it up so well on the dislikes.


My likes:

Friends, the minority of the community, the tinychat group..spam forum..Honestly I wouldn't have came back to sythe if I never found tinychat and met some cool people here. Now I post cause it's the main forum I come to nowadays.

 

Very unique site, it's cool
