Why are Food Items crashing? (E.G. Sharks/lobbies)

Hey just wondering since I'm going for 99 fishing (96 atm) and I have a lot of sharks, I was wondering why are those food items crashing?

I know the lobbies/swordies are crashing cus fagex installed a bank for the f2p noobs on karajama but why sharks? D:

 

It'll go back up eventually, just be patient.

 

People might be using more higher foods.

Its been crashing for 3 months, at its all time low now from 1.8k to 1k

 

Sharks were 1k on the dot for several years before the trade limit, So I wouldn't say its their all time low.

But they are just dropping like everything I think, because many people fish thousands of them, and not many people eat thousands of them.

With a good PKing update, they would rise right back up.

 

Its in reference to the strike 85% of pkers are refusing to pk which means not buying any sharks (most common used food for pking) for pking. Even though alot of people still pk the strike has people not pking and when your not pking your not buying supplies the demand has gone down because of this. This is one of the reasons affecting this im sure there are many more.

 

Yeah, decrease in demand by pkers. Also people prefer pizzas for corp, brews for godwars, so sharks gone down in demand

 

They will return.. After the climbing boot stage has passed, this is why i'm stocking up on 200k+ sharks

Yep, they are bound to go back to the average price. Idk about the sharks because they were at the 1K mark a year ago.

As for the lobbies, F2P story.

Keep your sharks, they'll be back @ 1.3-1.4 when you have 99fish.

You're referring to the climbing boots update?
If you are, I'd like to point out that sharks have been falling since long before the update, and that the two likely have almost nothing to do with one another.

It's always funny to see just how much of an effect bots have on the Runescape economy. That thread is win.
