What is your opinion on psychoactive drugs and the like? I have tried the ever popular shrooms and DMT (Dimethyltryptamine).

I will participate in the discussion at a later time. Right now, I would just like this to start. Please share and discuss.

I really enjoy acid, makes me feel at peace with myself and lets me understand everything a little better. Although after i come down i realize everything was common sense

Really? One of my friends will try any drug he can get his hands on, and all acid did to him was make him extremely paranoid and on-edge.

How does everyone feel about how users are prosecuted? Are we too lenient or too harsh?

As I believe the most important thing someone can do with their life is to enjoy every minute of it, I obviously believe that psychedelics are a very useful tool to help people enjoy themselves more. I, personally, use shrooms and LSD fairly frequently, though not nearly as much as I smoke marijuana.

He should probably stop doing it at parties or going out while on it. Acid is NOT a party drug, and doing it around people will fuck you up.

Way too harsh. The government has no right to say what I can and cannot put into my body, only I can say that.

The only time he's done acid near us, our small group of 5~ people, he really freaked out.

I'm not a big fan of the government inhibiting my rights to enjoy life either. I'm really not seeing a large issue with hallucinogens, as I do with meth or any other seriously life changing drugs.

What part of "doing it around people will fuck you up" do you not get? That means any people, or atleast more than one or two - and even then if those people aren't on it either then you can still have a bad trip.

Hallucinogens open up doors of creativity and thought. If not abused they make great eye openers. Drugs like meth, cocaine, etc, at first have a great deal of pleasure and little pain, but over time the pain overcomes the pleasure, but by then people are too cracked out to see that. Marijuana and Hallucinogens are ok in my book. If NOT abused.

Hallucinogens are fun to experiment with, aside from the odd bad trip, but they heighten the senses and are a gateway into what seems like another world, freedom from any constraints.

What about them? I enjoy them is what.

What is to discuss? The legality of them? The health effects?

Personally I believe that some psychoactives can be fine in moderate use.

However, others in even moderate use can lead in terrible effects. Especially ecstasy.

On the other hand, I believe that if we could somehow control it's use, Mushrooms should be moderated and allowed to the public. Under the conditions you are a certain age, don't have any possible latent psychological problems, and it's dosage and your activity after taking it is closely monitored.

However, that is incredibly hard to do and I doubt it would be put in place TBH.

If you wish to use them, do so at your own risk and in the privacy of your own home. If you are stupid enough to get caught then you do NOT deserve to be using them.

I haven't really experienced any type of hallucinogenic drugs yet, simply because I cannot get my hands on them. I've tried DMT however, it was so-so. As for the government question, yes we should be able to live out our lives how we want to, but drugs cause you to lose touch with reality in a sense, and that can put others at danger.

I've tried ecstasy one time, as well as acid one or twice (separate occasions of course) and it felt like nothing else. When I was on ecstasy, I felt like everything was alright, and that life was fine. Acid was the most bizarre thing I have ever experienced. I'm not sure how to describe it.

Though I tend to stay away from Hallucinogens because I'm afraid of thing that may have been added into them - you never know.

I believe that we would not be where are without psychoactive substances, they are key to our evolution.

I've only ever tried LSD once, but it was the most beautiful time of my life. I've still got a cube left and am waiting for the perfect moment to take it. It's a pretty powerful little sugar cube, heh. When I get really stoned now it takes me back to my acid trip; I get the same welling up feelings of emotion and wonder.

Shrooms was a waste, imo. Really like acid, only have done it a few times, more times to come within 2-3 weeks.

I probably won't try Shrooms, E, or Acid. I am curious about MDMA though, and from what i hear there's little to no long term effects.

In the beginning of the post I see you guys saying about how you all take drugs and you think that the government shouldn't be able to tell you what you can put in your body but think if everyone took drugs it would be madness the government is scared of what you will do to others when you use. The point of view is from a 12 year old non user
    you use you lose
