Economy - Downed?

So guys, what's next after this?

Just from CBs (5,000% increase in price) alone, a massive influx of GP will enter. I don't even know how this will impact the entirety of RuneScape.

Anyone know anything at all? I don't know what to do at this point.

 

I would quit runescape, unless you are to addicted, and come back in a couple months when things are calmed.

hell in some months they might have that new skill out "tree climbing"

 

No reason to quit, besides now that all the attention is focused on these "riots" and "spam" all over world 66, its easier to bot :love:

People say the economy is going to crash when the whole pvp shit started. If you guy's haven't learn from that, then let me tell you straight forward.

The fucking. Runescape. Economy. WILL NOT CRASH. Items will go up or down because of this. but the game will go on like nothing happen. The only time i ever felt like runescape was going down hill was the removal of wildy and introduction of ge. All these other update that people are crying over are just small updates that never effected me more then the removal of pvp and introduction of ge.

 

I think this will affect you... A 5,000% increase on a popular item that is populous is going to have an effect on everyone. Imagine how much GP just entered RuneScape.

the whole thing is bullshit.

for years all jagex talked about was removing the unfair advantage gained by players through cheating, glitching, and botting. they even go so far as to ban players. you hear them talk over and over about people gaining an "unfair advantage." if this really mattered to them, why would they do this? do they not see 100's of millions of gp as an unfair advantage? this is unfair because you have the stuck-up noobs that play now with an unnecessary ammount of cash that they did not earn while most of the true veterans that have been playing 7+ years to earn what they have get nothing.

tbh, i feel as though i have wasted so much time now. i'm sure a lot of people feel that way. we worked legit for our cash, (usually) and it makes me mad that people that did absolutely nothing get all the benefits.

 

This tbh, although a fair amount of my cash was gained through botting (but this is just within this last year, i started in 2003, and all my cash then was legit.)

I honestly do not know what jagex was thinking, they obviously did this on a bit of an impluse, and as we all know with jagex's egos they are to stubbron to rollback something that was obviously a HUGE mistake.

 

So true yet so sad at the same time.
It's an update that directly affects thousands of players, yet their ego gets in the way of righting their mistake.

Alching = GP from nothing... 45k made from 200gp and some boots? Get the fuck out of here and go read an economics book, this is the equivalent of the United States government printing a trillion dollars.

 

This is the RuneScape equivalent of the Obama stimulus packages; look at his approval rating. When it takes players years to reach their 300 million gp, while other players are instantly made insanely rich overnight, it truly makes you wonder what Jagex (Mod Mark) was thinking when they thought out this brilliant plan. It also should make you wonder what the true purpose of this was. Jagex may have possibly been trying to compensate for the loss of the wilderness, as they know that the pkers are the ones that have all of the boots. Just my conspiracy theory.

 

The economy won't crash, and if even starts to, JaGeX will step in a fix it, so don't worry about it. If they rollback the servers a lot of people who mades millions over night will be extremely sad, but we all know JaGeX won't do it.

 

I think this is stupid. but only because I didnt have any bo0ts... lol

 

They alch for 45k, which a lot of people are doing.
