What to do with your climbing boots...

At this point, everyone knows that climbing boots have shot up to 75k overnight...

People have made millions or even up to billions.

Since almost everyone has atleast one pair of climbing boots, and such a high price increase in such a short amount of time, they're going to become junk.

If you've tried selling them and getting rid of them and it isn't working then it seems like you're probably going to be stuck with them forever.

What I suggest to do is to die with them in pvp worlds, because when you die with your climbing boots, it creates something called death potential.

I used to pvp alot and I understand the drop system, when you die with items, Jagex tries to compensate you to come close to matching up with what you died for.

As good as this sounds, the only bad thing about it is that climbing boots have a death potential cap of 10M...

Let's say you have 100M in climbing boots.
You die for 10M worth (133 climbing boots)
You now have 10M death heat
This death heat will last as long as you want.
But before jagex messes with this update even more, I would try to kill as many people as I can, I would even ask friends to give you a 76k trick. (1 pair of climbing boots) to help use up potential.

Jagex will compensate for most of your "Trade value loss"

I estimate that you'll get compensated around 70M from the 100M in value that you lose.

Better to have 70MGP than 100M in junk

Wow, i was quite unaware of this lol. I have like 300 pairs of climbing boots on 2 accs for pking.

 

i dont have any pairs, would have brought some beforehand if i could read minds
