Regarding switching IPs and accounts

Ok so I own a VPS, which I can name any random thing, and that name will show as the last location I logged in from when I access my account.

So, I've been botting an account on my VPS for months, and have achieved my goals. I'm ready to switch back to my computer. Let's say for the sake of this that I named the VPS "Llama". Since that doesn't trace to anywhere, would the likelihood of my account getting locked be very little? Or do Jagex actually see the IP(My VPS has two possible IPs, both being traced to the USA)?

 

They see the IP.

 

Alright, so that leads me on to my next question, how long should I wait before I log back on using this IP(resolves back to ireland)?

If it gets locked, say that your back for the summer.

 

Then again, I have logged into the same account less then a few hours after gold farmers in china had finished an order, and it wasn't locked.

 

You should wait for a couple of months, till they erased the logs?

Doubt they keep track on it/store them for a long time

 

I have been using vps now like 4 months and swapping in same day between vps ip which is random word and is traced in usa and my ip, which is traced in Finland. Have also done this with several accounts and never been locked.

 

Yeah, I also switch between my VPS and my comp ip often, and haven't been locked so far...

 

I wouldn't worry mate, Jagex lock on the basis of 3+ IP's accessing the account in the same day, then a password change, they do that combat hijacking.
