I Really Need Help With An MMO To Play!

Hi everyone,

I recently went back to Runescape after a long break and got 94 mage on my main so I could veng and it turns out that I dislike PVP I think it sucks, its full of rushers and basically retards as most of you probably know.

The only advantage in PVP is that I get insane loots for basically nothing, this kind of defeats the object of the game though, so yet again I expect I'll be logging out for good because college starts in September and I want to get on with my life. Personally I think Runescape had its day and that was a long time ago, its got old and boring and its time for me to say bye!

I have until September to find something to do, I help my Dad out with his construction company but after I finish helping him I either go out with friends or just play on the computer and I tend to get quite bored on the computer unless I'm gaming. Earlier when I said about quitting Runescape, I sort of didn't play the computer a lot then when I quit and when I come back I was on stupid hours and I was completely hooked again but as I said its time to forget Runescape.

Anyways I'll stop rambling on about bullshit with my terrible grammar but I am looking to find an 'old school' MMO or one that has just been released, I would like to play an 'old school' MMO because I appreciate them a lot more than the modern ones being released every five minutes although I wouldn't mind being one of the first people to start an MMO so I can have a sort of head start on the leaderboards and I'm not talking about being ranked one but maybe being ranked in the top thousand or something, so I was just wondering if you guys knew any decent MMO's that are either 'old school' or brand new that I could try.

I don't mind paying a little for membership, the same sort of price for Runescape would be great because RS is still so cheap!

Can no one please post anything about playing WoW, I think its a dreadfully boring game, I think its just horrible....

Your best bet would be Guild Wars. It is very fun from the times I have played over a buddies house!

 

I've looked into it before didn't particularly like the look of it.

 

What kind of MMO do you like? Old-Skool or "New" doesen't specify enough.

 

I like old school as I said, I would just like to be ranked high up in the leader boards if possible in a new game.

A good one that I play alongside Runescape is called Travian. You might've seen some ads for it and tbh they look crap! BUT those ads do not represent how the actual game looks and plays as it is a pretty good real time strategy MMO.

If you like 3D games or real players moving around then this is not for you but none the less, if you want to check it out I'll give you the links below.

Also, Travian runs across many domains and each domain has quite a few number of servers that only run for a certain amount of time (usually around a year or 3 months if you play the faster servers).

Play, aion is the newest and currently in my opinion the best mmo but it requires a really good computer becaues of the amzing graphics. I play itt now and it came out about a few months ago.
