    Something wrong with the Sun?

This is exactly what I thought of the article, very interesting indeed.
Seems a bit far-fetched only because I very, very little about the galaxy or space or anything to do with that stuff really.

    Interesting anyways.

    Something wrong with the Sun?

Just got done reading it, i've never heard of these sun-spots or anything else mentioned but it was quite interesting/and as you said slightly disturbing. Thanks

How hot the sun is, it was doomed to do this eventually.

Looking at the pictures, this is the first time I have seen pictures of space. It looks amazing.

Yeah, I'm glad you all have enjoyed it.

It's amazing how much Astronomers know about something so absolute.

    that is rather disturbing.
however, i've heard lots of things about sunspots etc.
like last week heard a think on the radio about em, didnt seem to serious.
if the sun were to blow up or something. it would take like hundreds of years before we even knew or something isnt it?
or maybe it was like 8 years, forgot.

It's important to remember that records have only been kept for a relatively short time (around three hundred years), and that there has only been abnormal activity for around two years.

Yeah I mean, how long have we been keeping records of the sun and how long has the sun been here. There's a big difference. For all we know it could be a regular cycle it takes every million years.

Nothing wrong with the sun. We live and depend on the sun, so if there was something wrong with it, we'd be dead

This is clearly one of the most ignorant statements I've ever came across.
