What makes Runescape so addicting?

At the moment, making money makes it addicting

 

I try quit. Hop on xbox. i seem to come back.
wtf?

 

Just too many things to do and achieve.

Been hooked on it for far too long now.

 

Just that theres always something else to do , pretty much impossible to clock it

 

I think its addicitve because of peoples competitive streak. The whole games based around that, you have the highscores, skill capes, even quick chat etc.

Everyone wants to be the best at something, be it total skill level, just a single skill level, be the first to get 99 in a new skill, best pker, have the best items, etc.

 

I think it's because you're always working to make progress. Seeing your characters progression and knowing it was your doing just seems to have a certain allure to it.

 

You might know there's an amazing reward at the end of each tunnel.

 

for me its:
1:friends
2:levels,achieving something
3:updates,theres something new to do every week..even if your already maxed out/or bored

 

Tbh i think jagex put some crack in the game....

i think that money is the motivation. but mainly i think its the desire to achieve 99 skills. and it is so massive when you think about it it is a FREAKING MASSIVE game

 

I quit. came back two years after. started a zerker pure. got it to lvl 76 cmb. then quiot again cause they ruined the dropping system even more.

 

Sniping and selling rares keeps me going. I still work on some skills from time to time, but nothing too major..

 

I used to find it extremely addicting and I think the reason was it's just something to do.

Now I am much more busy in real life and slowly playing runescape now is something that I almost never do.

 

Cause u get levels, and u always wanna get the best level, so u keep working on it

 

Because I can sell the accounts for $$$
