Why Do People Smoke?

i dont know why others smoke
i konw why i do smoke
when i am painful or sorrow
i will smoke heavily
although i know it is bad for heath
but i cant control that

 

Think about smoking as if it is food. If you stop eating your body send you responses in the form of growls to tell you to give it some food. Nicotine works much in the same way. If you lack nicotine, your brain receives signals that tell you to get more nicotine.
You can kick the habit, but it usually takes 21 days.

 

You cant deal with your problems yourself?
I'd never turn to something for my pain, I smoke weed whenever, not when im only in pain.

Schizophrenia.
While Marijuana can have some psychological addictions(addicted to the idea of smoking, making you popular, etc) there is very little, if any, physical addictiveness of Marijuana.

As for the cigarette argument, smoke if you want to, just don't force your beliefs on others. Or in other words, don't blow your smoke in my face if you still want a mouth to smoke with.

 

Honestly, in younger people, (15-17) they are just trying to maintain the image of being 'cool'

 

because they like the taste. I don't get it but hey I guess it's different for everyone.

 

Schizophrenia, that is incorrect. It does NOT cause Schizophrenia. The reason for Schizophrenia is still unknown, but a lot of schizophrenics smoke cigs which is pretty weird. If you watch any video on someone with Schizophrenia it shows them smoking

Most People Smoke Because Of Peer Pessure.

 

Marijuana can damage your synapses, and that in the long term can cause mental illnesses.

i'll take that chance. but its super hard to quit smoking cigs as you know thats why people smoke because most of them would proabably want to quit but just cant.

 

i think people smoke because it relives stress, which is pretty sad really as smoking is actually making them depressed !

 

I started Smokeing becuse I wanted to see what it was like whats cool about that?

You are so ignorant. Spend 10 minutes in my shoes and you won't think the same way. You too would look to anything to relieve the crushing sadness that overwhelms you every godforsaken day. I've tried nearly everything to help it. I can name only a handful of drugs I've never used. I knew that I had to stop using the drugs or I would die. I smoke because it will kill me slower than an oxycodone OD.
