the competitors can simply hypercam the fight while MMs can watch from the wall, check the scoreboard, or even have a different random item in every fight. As stated above, have like willow log stake (like 5 of them) so the screen would be much harder to edit.

I'd have to disagree, many people on here have mains which can stake as well.. Also, you don't need to have extremely expensive items. Bob Shirts, Royal Crowns, Wergali potions, etc. are worth a decent amount on the street.

 

Unreal idea, I think I would start coming on sythe again just to MM these events.

Rares are practically impossible to buy from the g/e. You can sell a rare for 100M+ over its trade price if you have junk, or you can sell it on sythe for trade price + paypal.

 

I'd participate for sure. I believe Nick's fears are unfounded - there are enough oldschool players who miss staking and enough new ones that want to try for this to work out.

Also, I think the risk level of relatively trusted members staking lower amounts of paypal is acceptable - after all, chargebacks are incredibly easy to prove.
Also, you don't need a pure account to stake - you only need an account with similar stats to another staker's account. Or you could go in with lower stats and ask them to 2x you =P

 

well a few years ago i had an idea and we could tie it into this... the Middleman wouldent go to duel arena but we could have a middleman who had a acc with high construction and then we would hold fights in the combat rings?

 

sure but how do we xfer the item? using items that are worth more than trade value orwut?

 

If your fighting in a combat ring, you wouldn't be able to hybrid/trybrid effectively. I can see doing that for melee only fights, etc. though.

When is this actually going to get started, i mean we keep talking about it, we obviously have tons of supporters, we have out method,and people keep posting they would do this, so why not start now?

We should stake Paypal. Then we should send the cash for the stake to the mm and the mm will watch the match. Then send paypal to the winner.

 

This has already been suggested and will not happen because MM's don't want to risk chargeback.
would be fun though.

 

Approved. This would certainly bring and end to the boring "New" Runescape for me.

You could still stake paypal and the middleman would just enforce the transaction, not actually take part in it.

This would be an awesome idea!

Especially with new treasure trail items coming out this month (Over 150+ of them) I think this would have alot of popularity, also fun.
