    Itunes won't open

Every time i open Itunes this is the message i receive. I have explored many forums and tried almost everything suggested. I've run as administrator, deleted all but my own account, i've even uninstalled and re-installed, and completely removed and re-downloaded the program numerous times.

    What is going on...?

Is your computer connected to a domain controller?

Like, is it a work computer connected to a network or something?

The network / domain controller's group policy could be not allowing iTunes to be ran.

In this case, you will need to run it as the NETWORK ADMINISTRATOR and not the local administrator.

That's the only thing I can think of.

EDIT: I know this because my mom's laptop has the same issue, and this is the reason.

Google what a domain controller / network is.

Do you take your laptop to work?

    Itunes won't open

When i am not at home on my home network i am usually connected to my moms when i visit. I am not using a legitimate copy of Windows 7, i downloaded a program that stops the trial version from locking up- since then my itunes hasn't opened. I figure that maybe it has to do with my illegal version of windows 7?

I highly doubt that. Apple software doesn't care..

I was referring to a domain controller using group policy( a windows program on a windows server OS ) to disable your ability to use iTunes.

Also, are you entirely positive that you are on an adminstrator account?

    Read this literature: http://social.answers.microsoft.com/Forums/en/w7programs/thread/d616e06f-ecdd-4d34-8d7a-a9936a91ad6e

So try that. The folders you are saving to / opening aren't getting proper permissions to read/write. Add read/write permissions to all itunes folders, I'd say.

I can't tell you which ones specifically as I don't use the software, however.

    Good luck!

Plug your Ipod in, sometimes it opens by itself.
