Well the current problem is that they can just remake a new account and BAM they are back. Well why don't we make it so that you can no longer make an account with a "referral". This way they would currently have to know someone in the sythe community to get in. Also well then people are like OK well they have atleast one account now so they just make a new one, refer it, make a new one, refer it etc. But no, if someone scams and you referred them then you get banned as well. Or maybe like a two week first time then a perm. Something along those lines. This was a policy we had in my old BH luring team (for stealing the loot and not sharing) and it worked out very well. It's just an idea I had. Ideas?

I will be damned if I'll get banned simply for referring someone who I have zero control over.

Only reason I don't like is because you can be a lurker and just wing a users name in there without ever knowing them.

Also I think leaving it open is a better idea to keep more people joining.

And on the scammers note I'll say it again. We don't need less scammers, we need more intelligent buyers. Although less scammers would be nice.

Referrals would severely slow down the expansion and growth of the website. Most traffic and visitors received to the site (as with all websites) are usually from search engines and social networks. They would have no way of registering.

I suggest the staff have some kind of verification method before users are allowed to trade with one another. This would give some collateral in case they do decide to scam. We could release their phone number or home address to the public to do whatever they want with them.

    No.
Scammers is a problem, but 95% of the time it's the buyers fault. They don't get a PM, they don't use an MM. As stated above, it would slow down the growth of the site. As well, it's also a pain for the people referring if there were to be a code such as on rscheata...

65% of the people on this site most likley didn't join because of someone telling them about this site. We have middlemen for this site, which in conclusion means, no one should ever get scammed.

    No support.

Releasing personal details is not only ridiculous, but can't lead to anything good in the end.

Big time NO to that one.

I meant release that information to the staff. The staff would only give it out if you were banned for scamming.

Yeah once again on the details stuff that is dumb.

But fire it would make it so you would only refer people who you 100% trusted.

So I could register an account and refer myself to Finn for example. Then I scam. Then Finn gets banned too, and he had no part in it what so ever.

The most stupid idea I've ever heard.
