    16+ is fine imo.

That's what we have here in Denmark. When your 16 you are allowed to drink and buy it in the stores.
Even tho it is still easy to buy if you're like 14-15 :)

should be 18 i mean i know how irresponsible people are and i guarntee drunk driving would go up but if you can fight in a war, move out of your house and be an adult you should be able to drink

But you'd suggests others to wait to drink until 18, yet you're not yourself?

American kids and European kids are different. In my opinion, they are a lot more mature. I've been to europe several times, so I know the drinking ages there are lax.

Legally. Which it is already, and no one cares, so why change it?

That is only in certain states. In Alberta, the drinking age is 18+.

I think Canada and the US should implement a policy much like Germany's.
i.e. 16+ for light-ish liquors (beers, etc), 18+ for heavy liquor (vodka, etc).

By the way, (for people in the US) if you're able to enlist at age 18, you should be able to drink at 18.

I reckon the 3 ages on spirits, beer, and stuff is a good idea, becasue it lets people be introduced to softer drinks before the harder drinks, so they should be able to control themselves better
