Will the US Declare War on Pakistan?

I'll just start off by saying tl;dr.

I think in the long term they'll declare war, along with other middle-east countries. The US should be worrying about finishing the job in Iraq, and Afghanistan first.

 

Surely Pakistan are trying to keep the peace with the Taliban by just letting them go about and leave it to Afghanistan and the allied troops to sort them out?

The US declaring war on Pakistan just doesn't sound reasonable in this given time.

 

Why wouldn't they? The war in Afghanistan has been such a resounding success.

 

No way has the war in Afghanistan been a success. Afghanistan still has an unstable government and part of it is ruled by the Taliban. Earlier, I was on facebook and I stumbled upon a link which stated that the United States has found 1 trillion dollars worth of unused minerals supply in Afghanistan. The reason the United States invades these countries is simply because they want their oil and mineral deposits. What makes me laugh is that it's been nearly 9 years and they still haven't been able to stop Al-Kaida. I believe that if they were focused on getting rid of Al-Kaida, they would have done it by now. But they merely use them as an excuse, in order to stay in the country and withdraw minerals/oil such as what is happening in Afghanistan/Iraq and Pakistan will be next country in line. Plus, in Iraq (which the United States went into to restore democracy after Saddam Hussein's dictatorship), many Iraqis said that they preferred Sadam's rule over what America is doing.

 

Pakistan has nukes, and a fairly powerful military. Though it is tiny in comparison to the United States, with the difficulties in logistics and the advantage being on the defense gives, I do not think a war with Pakistan would turn out well.


Though, of course, it wouldn't be the US getting nuked, it'd be India, but whatever.

if the usa ever did declare war on pakistan expect some nukes heading americas way and also the huge back lash by the huge number of pakistanis in western countries, i.e militant action, if you are that stupid enough to think war with pakistan is a possibility u need to get ur fat nerd ass off the computer and see what the real world is like, the usa only invades to steal 3rd world countries resources in order to get rid of the trillions of dollars of debt it owes china,

I agree, It wasn't a success.

It's very hard to demolish a whole entire terrorist organization such as Al-Qaeda. The easiest way to do this would be to take out the leaders. As you should know some of there leaders are hiding in the Islamic tribal areas in the Pakistan mountains. After the shut down of Guantanamo Bay, most of the leaders that were captured were released right back out there to do what they please.

There isn't just one leader. The USA won't invade the Pakistani mountain because we don't want to piss off the tribes and Pakistan.

I don't ever remember hearing about making deals in the 90's:huh:.

The 90's was when they turned on him because he began to concentrate and exercise more power than his Western backers would allow.

 

I hope most of you understand that the "surge into Afghanistan" was a ploy to get troops into Pakistan. Al Qaeda and other terrorist groups are mainly in Pakistan and the US "surged into Afghanistan" but many of the individual troops have moved into Pakistan. The US recognizes the danger of a nuclear-armed country being potentially overrun by insurgents and that is the reason for this massive influx of troops.

Will they declare war on Pakistan directly? No. We are allied with the current Pakistani government although there are many rebels inside their government, especially the military and foreign service.

 

Pakistan has been cooperative with the US, so no.

If you're taking this idiotic line, why aren't there US troops rolling into Russia, Saudi Arabia and Canada?

 

In all honestly, we need to pull out of this whole ordeal completely. It's been almost ten years since we started this, and we've spent the past four or five doing nothing of particular worth.

We need to stop trying to fix what we've broken, because we're only doing more harm to our reputation than good. The general population of the Middle East is disgruntled at best due to our presence. Think about it: we've practically invaded their country and taken residence in it. We've fired rounds in their streets, tank shells into their buildings, artillery barrages on their cities. We've raped and ravaged their country, and now they're angry that we're not gone.

The American government is like a virus. We don't understand the culture of any given area, we just want them to conform to our imperialistic mindset and install a democracy. We don't care about their culture, their religion, their perspective, we just want a democracy in the Middle East, because democracies always solve all the problems. However, the Middle East culture is entirely centered around the type of government that they've had since they were born. What gives us the right to invade their land and change everything in a year?

Attacking Pakistan won't do anything. Eventually, we'll be at war with all of the associations of the Middle East, which will only put us in a worst spot economically and socially.
