How to restore your computer back in time!

Hello and welcome to my restore your computer back in time guide!!

Summary: You can take your computer back to the time you first accessed your computer or maybe even the night before. Doing this, will un-do the downloaded files your computer has received during the time you want to go back in time up to today. I mainly use this for removing viruses, since it works every single time.

Instructions

Step 1: Click on the start menu



Step 2: Click on "All Programs"



Step 3: Click on "Accessories"



Step 4: Click on "System Tools"



Step 5: Click on "System Restore"



Here's where the actual guide starts:

Step 6: You will have an option of clicking to a recommended date the computer has chosen for you or a chosen date. I will continue this guide with the chosen date since if you choose the recommended date, all you need to do is click "Next" etc, and you should obviously know how to do it. However, chose date has more behind it.



Step 7: You will be shown the previous five days, if you would like to choose a further point back in time, click on the "Show restore points older than 5 days" option.

Without 5-day Option:



With 5-day Options:



Step 8: After you choose your date, you will be taken to a screen that will ask you to confirm you are ready to make this change since it CANNOT be undone!



Afterwards, your computer will turn back on and it will say the restore has been successful.​
