Is your music taste mainstream?

I always like to know what different people consider their music taste as - mainstream, or unpopular.

As for me, it's in the middle. A big portion of my music taste goes to a very unpopular genre (ska, skapunk, punk) but a lot of it does consist of more popular bands like blink-182 and Kings of Leon.

I also listen to some of the really popular stuff. SHITS CATCHY.

Yes mainstream, some people see that as a bad thing but I don't.

It's kind of mainstream, it's not played on the radio too often. But a lot of people listen to the genre and bands.

 

Most of it unpopular like post-hardcore, metal, deathcore, metalcore, techno etc,etc.

 

Indie, Alternative, experimental and post-hardcore. Some hippity hop/rap.

Pretty much all of it, except for the few small bands I listen to.

 

unpopular such as bon iver for an example. I listen to all the old music such as pink floyd, jimi hendrix, led zeppelin and bob marley. Listen to a lot of reggae, but when im at a party mainstream music is the go to get my bop on.

 

Half popular half unknown.
Im big on metal like the big bands such as Slayer,Metallica,Iron Maiden, Lamb of god and then some unknown bands.
Also like mainstream stuff like coldplay, breaking benjamin and muse.
Good bands are good bands no matter main stream or not!

Kraftwerk
Yellow Magic Orchestra
Jean Michel Jarre
Daft Punk

To the person above, good choices, but pretty common.

Are my choices common and mainstream? Only you can be the judge of that.

 

no mainstream at all, mainly listen to underground hip-hop/rap

 

I like some underground rappers but yeah usually mainstream rap or rock

 

I'd say I'm half and half, I listen to a lot of underground rappers but I listen to a lot of mainstream as well.

 

What do you call bands like bullet for my valentine, disturbed, rage against the machine, tool, limp bizkit, korn, rise against, rammstein, shi-had and bands like that? they have the odd song on the radio but not like lady gaga and fukin shit music like that which have most there songs the radio and played 3+ times a day then everyone hates em after a month?

 

3+? I'd say 3+ an hour not a day!

Fuck I hate some of those songs on the radio so much. I HATE THE RADIO.

haha yea the radio blows, but in nz we got the rock and its just rock music all day and no repeat work day so dont heard same song that day, good at work lol.

My library is below, that's probably 2/3 of it... I really need to clean up my music, I have it scattered everywhere on my computer.

 

Most of my music is not mainstream, however i do enjoy some mainstream, i guess id rather feel special listening to music youd never hear on the radio though

 

I listen to talent.

Whether it is discovered or not, is out of my reach.
