Guide Verifiers

So is this being discussed among staff atm?

 

I agree that there should be no rank but as 'plznate' said there should be a sticky at the top with the sufficient names and I also agree that the guide writer could tip the verifier if they wanted too but there's no need to pay because every guide has to be verified so it would just be ridiculous

 

To Mods/Admins:
Could you please inform us on the current status of 'Guide Verifiers' in general.
( things that would be most important to know:
- how to become one
- will there be a fee / rank )

 

Agreed, which is why i suggested a possible donation to show appreciation which is completely optional. But yes if its mandatory that your guide needs to be verified then there shouldn't be a required fee.

Isnt it the "runescape guide section" ? Its in the runescape blackmarket and i know r2pleasent and other mods always close those money making crap guides.

I'd definetly support this, and the rank, so it's easy to spot who actually is a guide verify instead of people claiming to be etc.

 

Oh I totally agree. Verifying guides not only gives other members inside information before purchasing the guide, but you get free guides all day long.

I used to verify guides on another site, and let me tell you it is hard stuff to keep track and try every little detail, check for errors in grammar, and to rate the guide overall, so whoever these verifiers would be would have to either go through training or make some "test" reviews.

Yup. I unofficially verified a guys guide a little while back and it took me a day to realize that what he was selling was a fairly well known technique that doesn't actually work, even though it seemed like it would. By then I was temped though so by the time I got back his thread was closed lmao.

Just an update:

We are still in the process of choosing guide verifiers. If chosen, you will be contacted through PM to accept/deny this responsibility.

There will be no rank for this job, your name will simply be in the sticky.

These people also won't be allowed to charge a fee. Like SuF said, we force people to get their guide verified. The only benefit is getting a free copy of the guide for your own use only.

 

No rank or no fee is a crucial part which I believe is a good decision.

Tbh they would pick the biggest rune fags which are You, Nate, Necro and me and possibly somebody else. Remember 5 is the magic number.
