Learn guitar before bass, when you got guitar down, learning bass is cake, much harder the other way around though

Some bands do make a lot of different genres. Like Metallica it goes from all sorts of metal to all sorts of rock....so it's not really that the genre is vague, but the music the bands play. Its just too mixed up to tell what genre to put them in.

The Who's already on there, and the scorpions are more of an 80's-power-ballad thing, but I like a couple of their songs, so sure.

    Yeah I agree.

What about Iron Maiden, they were big in the 80's. Incredible band ^_^ lyrics are very deep.

Good list, I like them all except I never heard of Smash Mouth. I like Jefferson Airplane, Neil Young, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Thin Lizzy as well.

Smash Mouth isn't directly Classic Rock (They're more alternative/poprock), but they have influences from bands such as the Doors, and I like some of their songs, so I added them.

I only like 1 song from Tom Petty - Stand my gorund.

Good to listen to this type of music to get away from rap/hip hop aka fuck everything music.

Added bad company. This genre is so large I keep forgetting artists in my own library.
