If I were you I'd honestly go for 99 mining.
The cape is epic, and you're already at 85.

 

What would be the fastest way to go about it on free to play?

 

I'd get it p2p and then go to LRC. Or for cash bot rune ore

 

Mining iron at the Rimmington mining site.

 

Whats LRC? :O And does rune ore just respawn like any other normal ore? Like iron ore for example.

 

Living Rock Cavern--
There you can mind Gold Ore.
And...yes I believe it spawns like other ore

 

I'd say get 80 str, 70 att, tbh.. and mine rune for cash.

 

Mine rune ore in the caverns, or do iron or at Rimmington.

Or...

You can always do woodcutting yews to 99 for some good cash.

 

You should start botting

 

If you want to bot on your account i suggest botting at flesh crawlers (f2p) or edgeville druids p2p. If you want to bot mining on your account i suggest you only bot 4 hours a day max on mining because it's a risky skill. If you don't want to buy a bot go to RiD forums. you can get a free powerminer bot. You will get 90+ mining in a few weeks. If you're intrested i can pm you the link to the bot.

 

i reckon get 99 botting in mining guild while doing magic + smithing <- superheat.

 

If you do end up getting 99 mining and cash you should make your account into a pker when you are done. Do the quests, 70 def, 70+att,90+str, 94 mage, w/e range(80+).. As this is the only real fun thing on rs IMO.

 

Get 99 Mining lvl. You can mine Coal in Mining Guild. Will take some time but you will get a nice profit.

 

get mining to 99. buy some armour and get your combat up.

 

1-85 is probably easier than 85-99
