Why Do People Smoke?

Because it's awesome?

No, but really, people start to fit in, or they just like the buzz that comes along with it.

 

they smoke cause, when they are smoking they feel like everything is just perfect and soem people do it cause of peer pressure they know better but yet smoke to be a part of a group that doesn't care for his/her wellbeing

 

Or smoke marijuana? That's not addicting, plus it relieves a lot of stress. I would never smoke cigarettes though..

 

Cigs: I've never really liked them but a lot of my old friends smoke them because they like the taste. I don't get it but hey I guess it's different for everyone.

Weed: It's relaxing and a social thing to do. I know a lot of kids in high school do it to get rid of social tension etc. Like I said, very relaxing lol.

 

Who could possibly like the way cigarettes taste? It's like puke in your mouth.

 

people start for different reasons, some people to look cool and fit in, others do it cuz of peer pressure and some people say they do it because there depressed.
imo there all dumb asses.

 

What I don't get.
People start because of stress, okay?
But you don't feel anything your first few besides maybe being light headed.
Why after 10 and not realeving stress, why keep smoking?

 

This isn't about weed. Weed won't kill you, cigarettes will.

 

You all are really judgmental, not to mention, ignorant to the fact that cigarettes affect every person differently.

For some, or in this case, most, cigarettes provide somewhat of a "two minute buzz", which is mainly the reason why people say that it 'calms your nerves'.

 

That's quite possible. Like I said, I'm not sure why I found it relaxing but it did seem to work.

 

I smoked because I liked the relaxed feeling of it, and the taste (yes, I liked the taste). But stopped since I don't want my lungs suffering. And I got major anxiety whenever the nicotine got out of me.

Haha, I did it 4 times too, I hated it since you need to have a "good" mindset in order to enjoy your high.

 

Lots of people don't enjoy it the first time there high.

 

I like to smoke blacks because i like the taste of them.

 

That is not even close to being true.

 

The people I have talked to that smoke say that it relieves their stress. I don't know though, why start smoking and then get addicted? I think it is lack of self-control to be completely honest.

 

Had one cigarette in my life, didn't see the big deal about it. My friend told me I didn't actually smoke it because all I did was inhale the smoke and blow it out.

But w/e once you start good luck quitting!

like 95% of smokers will tell you that they can quit at any time. but yet enjoy wasting money on this useless shit which is also bad for you....

 

I've had my share of cigarettes. I know what I'm talking about. Unless your smoking menthol cigarettes.

I'd much rather prefer a Cigar, or pipe tobacco.

 

to be honest, i smoked 20a day, now im down to about 15 a day..
i try to stop but i always get tempted for just that ONE fag to put in my mouth, light it, and smoke it.. it chills me out too when im stressed.

 

sorry one more thing, is there a website to help stop smoking or website with special advise to help stop smoking?
