I would be open for the job 100%, Because I've heard that some kid got his guide verified for never lose items in pvp, and it was simply -Use House Tab-, I mean, for me that was common sense. I honestly don't care if there's a rank involved, for me it would be a decent perk. Also i think an important requirement in the app should be.
-General To Advanced Knowledge Of Runescape.
    Btw, support 100%.

Could come in handy, so would there be a Guide Verificator Application? Like verifying different guides and stuff.
    Good suggestion.

You guys bring worthless shit into the equation. Vouches should not matter, 'cause people like Necromancer have contributed quite a lot to the site but have not traded much in the market. Referrals, join date or post count should not matter either. These things mean shit. Plznate has only been here for a few months but look at him. He's achieved OMM, UE and will probably even become a moderator in the future (hey I'm just predicting here).

The idea of an application is good. A minimum requirement should be set (for RS stats) so that only high levels may enter. If anyone does not meet the requirements and still posts an application, he or she will be infracted and have his thread deleted. These applications will be similar to OMM applications. You must state why you think you would make a good official verifier and some other stuff. And like OMM applications, a recommendation from an existing moderator or official guide verifier must be required.

A fee must be charged for verification. This is their time you're wasting. If your guide is found to be not genuine, a report will be filed against you by your verifier. If it is genuine, well, you're good to go.

I haven't clearly thought about what I said. If you find any flaws or questons or whatever, post away.

And some guides have high reqs which a lot of staff do not have. Also it would just make the staffs job easier.

If there was a fee then I'd just ask the mods or OMMs to verify for me.
Tbh I think this is just a way for some of the posters that have been here longer to get an icon showing that they're trusted.
Verifying guides should be a community service. Not just a service. If you guys want the job, then I think you should be ready to offer it for free.
    My two cents

I agree I believe people with high post count want this rank to show themself "Trusted" because they have a rank with the icon......

Honestly, there should be no rank or fee..those two things are absolutely essential.
As I have posted somewhere earlier in the thread, guide verification is like community service. The one doing it shouldn't be getting any materialistic benefit out of it.

It would be logical (if needed), for the guide verifier to log-on into the guide seller's account, and test it there. Makes it a whole lot easier. as stated in parenthesis, if needed

Naww.. don't like the signing on a member's account. If anything, they can meet ingame at which time depending on the guide, the seller can demonstrate.

I would agree that it shouldn't be a fee based system unless the guide seller feels like they should give the verifier some money as a tip.

edit: Tbh, there should be fees. I remember someone posting in the old thread saying that OMM's get a fee for doing a service, so should the Verifiers also.

Why? I think a fair fee would be to charge the price of 1 copy of the guide. For example, if the user wants to sell their xfer method for 10, then thats the fee. Typically the price reflects the complexity of the guide, so I think thats fair.

In other words, the verifier leaks the guide to somebody else.

A rank would be a bit excessive. Xbox verifiers dont have a rank either. A list of the verifiers could be placed in a sticky at the top of the guide section and that should be sufficient.

I really see no need for a fee for this. Certainly if people are willing to give a tip there shouldn't be any rule against taking it, but fees for guide verification doesn't seem right to me - especially if you MUST have your guide verified.

That. We force people to get it verified so the verifiers shouldn't charge.
