What should I get?

Hey, Im want to start making graphics and I'm wondering what program I should buy and what tools i need etc. I will be using a PC as Macs suck.

 

I have Photoshop CS4 now and it's quite good. You might consider CS5 as well.

Photoshop is Basically the best program for signatures and etc. You can make C4D's in like Maya and other Programs

Idk if there are photoshop books but you can Google Photoshop tutorials and get a bunch of useful techniques / information from them.

No, you dont need any "tools", if you wanna use a tablet thats fine but thats a different area of GFX.

 

Macs don't suck. They're used in industry for a reason. Anyway, get Photoshop. You could pay for it but there's ways to get it for free.

 

Go with Photoshop, it has the best features.

Judging by your posts, you won't be going anywhere with graphics anyways so don't bother buying photoshop.

 

First off, macs dont suck they are better for media production in general, second off get photoshop. As far as the bamboo tablet, there not a necessity, they do help tho. I use mine in almost everything I make in some way shape or form. Uhm back to the computer part of things, if you dont have a 64 bit processor I suggest you upgrade computerss. Trying to run photoshop cs4 or cs5 will be horrible on a 32 bit. If you have the money to blow, I suggest getting a mac. Now alll of that is if your serious about getting into them. Before you go blowing money I would download gimp from www.gimp.org and try it out. Its like photoshop but free. Hope this helped.
