[Guide] ~ Make 25-30k Exp/hr and 350-400kg/hr ~ [Melee][Pure]

To start with, If someone has made a similar guide to this, Didn't see it so I apologize.

I'm making this guide mostly out of boredom but also to share an awesome way to make a decent amount of combat experience while making money.


Explanation
To begin with we all know that herblore is one of the more Expensive skills. One of the ingredients a lot of people buy is Unicorn horns and Black Unicorns are an "Easy-to-Kill" level 27 Monster that drop Unicorn horns 100% of the time.

Near the Stealing Creation Mini-Game in the Wilderness there is about 10 Unicorns in a small area, after killing about 1.6k unicorns on my main to level Herblore i decided to bring my DDS Pure, at the time he was only 60 str and 60 attack with some other stats. But what I want to focus on for this guide is Melee, you can go kill green dragons or Aviansies for Range Experience / Money.

With 60 Attack and 60 Strength and a Dragon scimitar I was making about 200k/hr when unicorn horns were around 1k each. That's roughly 190-200 unicorns an hour.


Experience / Money Calculation

So with a pretty basic 1def pure with 60 attack and 60 Str we have a base of 200 Unicorns an hour. Each Unicorn is 116 Experience each. (Math: The Unicorns have 290HP which means 290 dmg. Experience = 4*Damage / 10.... 4*290 = 1160 / 10 = 116 Exp) Killing 200 Unicorns/hr will give us 23k Exp an Hour.

As of Monday, June 07th 2010 Unicorn horns are 1,798 coins each. With a Base of 200 Unicorns an Hour we would arrive at 359600 Coins an Hour

Note:
Remember that this was based on a SOLID hour of Killing unicorns, I wasn't afk at all this entire hour and all of my attention was on slaying unicorns.

Just some food In case you run into a Rev

Recommended Armor:


Head: Best Defence you can wear (usually iron)
Necklace: Games / Glory / Strength
Chest: Best Defence you can wear (usually iron)
Gloves: Combat Bracelet / Bronze Gloves+
Off-hand: Defender / God Book
Weapon: D Scimitar / DDS / Whip / GS / Obby Maul
Ring: Ring of Life
Legs: Best Defence you can wear (usually iron or D'hide)
Boots: Climbing Boots


Map


To begin with make sure you take a mental note of the Revenants patrol route. If one attacks you run past the Trees to the Hiding spot. 97 times out of 100 It will get stuck on a tree and leave in a matter of seconds.

Starting
Either walk to the spot where the unicorns are or Teleport with a Games necklace(Volcano) or Glory(Edgeville) and walk from there. Make sure you ONLY kill the Black Unicorns, The smaller ones don't drop Horns. Try to keep some food in your inventory so you keep killing and to make sure Revenants don't kill you.

Banking
Don't eat your food to make room for your Horns. There is a Deposit box Right next to the unicorns in the Stealing Creation Mini-Game. When you are out of food teleport back to Edgeville or The Volcano and Get some more food out and continue Killing

Selling
Selling the Horns is Fairly Simple. I usually just put them in G.E. for Medium price and they sell within 30 Minutes. If they aren't selling you can go to Varrock west bank and try to advertise, a lot of people like to level there herblore there because they can fill their vials in the fountain in the middle of Varrock and can also talk while leveling it.
