[Guide On How To Delete/Create Partitions On Windows 7]

Hello Syther's, Creating A Partition can sometimes become difficult and confusing, I have decided to form a guide based on how to create a partition and also how to delete a partition. This Guide is mearly for people who that have a Windows 7 Operating System.

Also partitions can also become somewhat tricky so, becareful that you do not delete any wanted files/data on your Hard Drive. To also create a partition you need to have unallocated space on your Hard Drive before creating a new partition. Alright lets get started.

First Off I Will Show You How To Delete A Partition:

    1. Type diskmgmt.msc in the Start menu and click the enter open Disk Management window.

    2. Right click the partition that you would like to delete and select Delete Volume.

    3. You will see the warning message. Click the Yes button to continue.

You Have Now Deleted A Partition. =|

Now I Will Guide You Through Creating A Simple Partition:

    1. Type in diskmgmt.msc in the Start menu and click enter to open the Disk Management window. As a new alternative you can now right click on the desktop computer icon and select Manage then click onto select Disk Management.

    2. Right click on the unallocated space and select the New simple volume option to see the New Simple Volume message. Click Next to proceed.

    3. Enter the amount of disk space that you would like to create and then click Next.

    4. In the next step assign a drive letter (C:, D:, E:, F:) then click Next again.

    5. Enter a name for the new volume and click next.

    6. Click the Finish button to complete the new partition.

You Have Now Created A Partition. :)

I Hope My Guide Has Helped You. :D

A few grammatical errors. Pretty short guide for your UE application. I suggest that you avoid using different colors for each line and especially italics in some. Try showing a bit more of the screen so that people don't get stuck.

I know a program that makes this process simple... But I'm sure you can find it out yourself.

Thank You For The Tips, But I Have Been Told That Using Colours Is Great To Attract Readers. Also I Find Italics To Be Great For Using In An Introduction.

I Will Also Fix Up My Grammer Errors, Thank You.

I guess I see your point... Part of it. But personally I don't prefer all these rainbow texts.

You didn't use italics in just the introduction.

Your biggest mistake is making the first letter capital in every word like 'Hello My Name Is Gurtaton.'

Using The First letter in every word is more punctual. Many people like the coloured writing, it gets there attention. Just like a book with pictures, its the colourful aspect of it, so you look at the picture first because its what your eye captures first.

However, too much color comes off as childish and unprofessional. Grammar is also very important, and you should follow all the grammar rules in all your guides because it makes it look much more professional and it makes it easier to read.

It's a rather short guide. A suggestion I have is to elaborate on the guide, explain why a partition is useful anymore.

One more thing, don't worry too hard to make a guide look amazing (with colors and that fun stuff), keep it simple. Feel free to look through some of the accepted applications for a good selection of example guides.

Perhaps explain what a 'Partition' is at the start?

I have no idea what one is and have never heard of one.. Maybe explain why they are useful, what they do, etc.

Not Sure if i should be changing anything at the moment, as my Guide is part of my UE Application and may result in differencies.

But as soon as thats over I will be sure to incorporate it into my guide :)
