Just would like to add I was given a email account that was created less then a month ago for a account that was created in 2018. Only notifications in email were those of email creation and swapping over the RS account to it. He said the other email went into a void so either he recovered it to this email or he would need access to previous email. Paid 3.5b put 600m on ACC. My loss is his gain. All pictures are in imgur link. He has been going on and on about how I must have clicked a link but theres no way they would have been able to fully recover the account if done so. I purchased the account not even 3 days ago. Account still shows on hiscores as of 1/20 so obviously not banned. Any help here would be appreciated.

As of now he is showing it is denied, he clearly has had to have recovery options for this account is the past if his statement of the primary email being void is true. He would have had to recover the account to change the email or he would have had to have access to that email. Any help in this situation would be awesome. Attached are screenshots of that conversation.

I don't know what to do in this situation as I have no access to a account I purchased 3 days ago with the TOS stating lifetime account recovery which is what is needed in this case. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time!

I am not responsible for the account after the sale completed. He handed me the 3.5b and I handed him the account.

I haven't touched the account after the sale other than the 3 recovery requests after the account was locked somehow. The last 2 requests were denied instantly.

I am not going to refund this because I am not able to check what happened with the account nor am I responsible for it after the trade had completed. I indeed offered a lifetime recovery insurance and I have tried to recover it with different methods now.

I will wait a week and try it again but I obviously can't guarantee anything right now due to Jagex's sketchy ass account security protocols.

 

Update account no longer shows locked and I still have no access to it so clearly he has recovered. Attached is screen shot of message. That is now not showing locked. Again any help here would be appreciated. Imgur: The magic of the Internet

 

I'd love for you to prove that I recovered the account, because I didn't.

 

^ If someone was really so devastated they wouldn't send others to harass me. Something about priorities.

Account is being played on by someone. They're gaining Corrupted Gauntlet KC atm. Something tells me this person is simply just trying to get a free refund.

Also please note that I also gave the recovery information with the sale. <- food for thought

 

At this time Event is showing he will not be willing to assist me in this situation. So again I ask what do I do here in his TOS he offered lifetime recovery which now he is not holding his word to. I would much rather have the account then a refund. I offered to give back the 30 day old email if it would assist him in recovering (knowing it would not as its 30 days old made the day he posted the account for sale). I have done everything I could do as a buyer and a 2 day owner of the account, someone has gained access to the account now and it sadly isn't me. Attached are screenshots of him cussing me out and how he is handling the situation behind closed doors. Once again any help here would be great. Thank you!

I've been assisting you any way I could, I approached you several time to try and come to a conclusion but you fail to show proof of the claims you make, that being that I scammed you, locked it and that I recovered the account.

"Disputes over accounts are difficult due to the nature of the recovery system" <- Exactly. And that's why we say that we're not responsible for anything that happens to the account after the sale has been completed. Because there's just too much that can happen with a recovery system this fragile and incomplete.

Buying accounts from a game where account sharing isn't permitted comes with a risk, no matter what kind of account it is, and that's what we're seeing right now.
