The iPed or the iPad?

The iPad finally goes on sale in Japan today. The country's TV news have been covering the launch as well as another product on sale in nearby China: the iPed.

China Rips Off The iPad With The iPed According to this TBS news report, the iPed is on sale in Shenzhen, China. Shenzhen is the location of the largest Foxconn plant, where the iPhone and the iPad are manufactured. The iPed comes packaged in a box that looks like the iPod.

China Rips Off The iPad With The iPed While it is slightly heavier than the iPad, the device is powered by an Intel chip and runs on Google's open source operating system Android. But like the iPad, it is a multi-media device.

China Rips Off The iPad With The iPed And is priced at the equivalent of ¥9,600 (US$105). The iPad is priced at ¥48,800 ($536) in The Land of the Rising Sun. The Japanese television reporters note that in China popular electronics are copied quickly.

And China is getting better and better at it. Apple, you better watch out. These guys are gonna eat your lunch. And one day, eat it better than you.

i really think that the iPed will become much more popular then the iPad. cost wise.

I've got a iPad not really expensive I fucking hate the chinese for doing this! like those gay ass iPhone rip off that looked like the source was from my nokia 3310.

Say no to cheap alternatives! trust me it's not the same software... pshh.

 

i think the Chinese are smart, i would much rather pay less for something that does the same thing.

 

Give it 18 months; I guarantee that the same products can be produced in China and distribtuted to the world market at a quarter of the white man price.

 

lol im in agreeance. i rekon some company will make another replica and sell it for the third of the price. so everyone these days will be walking around with one.

If you can't afford something then fuck you, don't go buy some cheap replica which runs a completely! different source! hopeyou can get good customer server using that china junk

 

But sometimes replicas are better than normal things. you never know how good it is once you have one.

 

If they performed better then no doubt you would go for the better product but this iPed don't think to yourself that your getting the iPad experience...trust me you won't and in the back of your mind you will always know that it's second best. If it was better or identical to the iPad then save your money right now your paying a shit price for a shit product.

 

its worth a try i guess, its under $200 so why not spend it and see how it is, if its bad then sell it and buy an ipad, its all based on quality.

iPad will be the fastest computer or "personal" whatever it is, that will become obsolete.

 

Some Chinese things are quite good, many arnt but im guessing that the iPed should be a good product.

 

I doubt fastest, but it will be fast. I still think laptops are better. Thats my opinion.
