Explanation of the trade: Runeboy432 reached out in regards to purchasing my Alora.io account. He asked for photos of the account which is risky enough as it is... I sent some small detailed photos of the account which didn't compromise too much information. (ex.) https://i.imgur.com/c3DIGdH.png https://i.imgur.com/LpyfdUR.png he is the only one these pictures have been shared with. upon checking the account this morning I noticed it had been banned.
How they scammed: Asked for account photos shortly after account was banned.

My Alora account was also banned for being in conversation with Meekz, he stated to me he's had accounts in the past banned.

I'm not too sure how someone can be banned by sending a bank tab wealth and donator symbol.

 

Not a single person can read our private conversations.. How would anyone else link two and two together? besides the person who holds the information given.

 

*note the accounts banned in the past were from my own stupidity and sharing photos with the "buyer" which compromised information about the account which resulted in a ban...

 

If you send them the full photos, I asked when we first started talking, then you tell me your account is banned 24 hours later. How is that straight after?

Where did I use the words "straight after"? I stated in my post above that shortly after sharing this information with YOU and only YOU the account was banned...

Because why keep this account if it's going to get banned. Create a sythe account just to purchase something and the first thing I do is get accused. This member if the community is not a good look. Bye.

 

@Meekz07 Please provide me with your conversation with @Runeboy432 from start to finish. Also provide me with proof that the account in question in banned and if possible the ban reason mentioned. I'll address other comments made within the report after I'm able to review this.

This definitely could turn into a he said she said argument off the basis that Meekz could've sent similar information of the account that was showed to Runeboy to others in which it'd be impossible for us to tell. With that being said there are many red flags which lead me to believe that Runeboy is staff on that RSPS or affiliated in some way.

Red Flag #1:

This makes no sense as there was no transaction that took place between you two to trace and you never exposed any information regarding your own account to Meekz. Even if he was banned in the past that has no correlation with you for the reasons I just mentioned.


Red Flag #2:

Luckily I'm experienced enough to know that little things like this can easily get you banned. Mods have a lot of tools, but Admins especially on an RSPS have the ability to pretty much see anything, and in this specific case I have no doubt they're able to view your bank and see everything, so the moment that picture of the bank value tab was sent and items you asked they consisted of were mentioned on top of the donor status plus the account being maxed being mentioned you can easily narrow it down to one person. The population is way smaller compared to OSRS so it's not difficult to narrow these accounts down to the seller when you have a bunch of minor, specific details like that.


Red Flag #3:

Also the fact that he mentioned wanted to get the deal done asap because "staff are actively looking" as mentioned makes no sense. If you feel that way why would you even approach a person for a transaction like this to begin with?

I could go into more red flags, but it's clear from what's been shown here that he's either staff or has some affiliation to staff on that RSPS. I've issued a ban/DNT onto @Runeboy432 and this will need to be pardoned to if he wishes to return to the market one day.
