Errr my friend posted that, very disappointing game from England vs Japan, not a great start, I think fabio might tweak the team a little.

I would say that England's best wins in the last 2 years were against Croatia in the world cup qualys, they beat them 4-1 away and then went on to beat them by 5-1 at home. Croatia were the ones that dumped England out of qualification for the Euro 2008.

What does England's history have that suggests they cannot win the world cup this year? They've won it once in 1966 and they reach the quarter finals and semi finals regularly. On the other hand, Spain's history is even worse, they have never won the cup or gotten past the quarter finals.

I believe that England will be one of the top teams at the world cup, even if their recent form hasn't been great. Spain will do very well, but I don't believe they will win it. The USA and maybe Ivory coast will be dark horses.

But wasn't that game against Croatia in 2008 a major upset?

I always heard england never won the cup... But I don't know much about soccer.

Unless England get their act together, my vote goes to Spain.

I think that Argentina is one of the most talented teams in the Cup this year. They have 5 of the best forwards in the world (Messi, Tevez, Higuain, Sergio Aguero, and Milito), as well as Diego Maradona as their coach. They'll definitely go far.

I'm somewhat worried about Brazil after they released their final 23-man squad. They left out Ronaldinho, Adriano, and Ronaldo, and it seems that they have a few inexperienced players on their team.

We'll just have to wait and see.

i personally think spain or england will win the cup. It would have been nice to have Egypt in it! Soccer is the most popular sport there, and they seem to win the Africa cup every single year but just cant make the world cup=|

Two players won't make a team win. You need a good team all around.

To be honest, they have got a good team, Diego millito is a good player, scored two for inter in the champ. final. Tevez as well consistant player for city, messi obviously the best player in the world, rodireguiz is a great player also and mascherano is a great player for liverpool. I think they've got a good chance, good players and maradona being the manager has a lot of experience in international.

That's not what he was saying though lol. He was simply pointing out that soccer can't be played as a 2-man team. Argentina has a lot of talent and is on my list as having the most chance of winning the Cup.

    I have always liked England
2006 shoulda been theirs, but they could not pack it home
This year is going to be even harder since the talent is not as rich as it is in 2006...
