Ive noticed multiple threads with [DONATOR] in the title, as if being a donator makes you trusted.

    It doesnt, does it?

No it does not at all make them any more trusted. It simply shows that they have put their own money into this as well, by donating to Sythe. You should always remain cautious when trading, regardless of who the other person is.

It doesn't but some people think it makes them trustworthy. So i mean trade with whoever you think looks trustworthy.

The fact that they're a donor is irrelevant. So what if they're a donor? Donors are not immune to greed. I've seen donors that donate more than $100 to Sythe, only to scam things far less.

So always be cautious during a trade. Regardless of the user's rank.

TBH, i dont know why people are puting [donator] on there threads, it shouldnt be something you can call "trustworthy", all it means is they helped keep sythe.org running.

No matter what the person's "status" is, id say Always take the same steps.

Ask for a PM, Talk on MSN and if you get ANY weird feeling towards the person, use a MM or OMM.

Most of the people on here are trustworthy, its only a small group that likes to give sythe a bad name, But if you always take the same pre-cautions, you will be safe.

I see this a lot, think people just put that there because it makes title larger. IDK

I let it swing, I tend to edit title that say [trusted] when the user clearly isn't trusted.

Who said they do it to make themselves look trustworthy? They can write what they want in the title.

Very true. People putting donator tags in their threads doesn't really bother me. Putting trusted tags in their threads however is bad. >_>.

    This.

They shouldn't be able to put Trusted tags if they're not really trusted. They think 20 vouches is trusted. Only the members having "Highly Trusted" rank or members with more than 250 vouches should be able to put the trusted tag.

Putting trusted tags implies that the site officially says they are trusted, which only a few people that have been given highly trusted ranks really are. So, tagging threads with trusted just won't happen much.

I think you're allowed to put whatever you want. Being trusted in one person's eyes is different for another; if you do not think he's trusted and don't feel safe trading with him, then don't or use an MM. Donator's do bring a small degree of trust as they are risking their account, but it's your decision if you want to trust them or not.

I agree only a few people should with a good amount of vouches should put Trusted in their title thread.
