It would be one thing if it was some innocent kids who made a mistake, did something they shouldn't have done... but not those guys.

 

Make sure they do something, they did still your stuff after all.. Make sure it goes on their records.

 

Get a criminal record, a lot of community service, and probation.

 

Honestly they won't get more than a slap on the wrist being under 18.

I had actually 2 court cases earlier this year. My first one I had some shit go on and had to pay a $700s in fines. It was considered a misdemeanor and criminal charges because my bank account my mom closed and I had some money owned that I didn't know since I didn't live at home. I actually was facing jail time for $100. My second one was a disturbing the peace for a loud party. That one me and my roommate coulda got a $300 fine, which was taken to $50 pleabargin that didn't go on our records.

They wont get much being under 18. You should try to get it on their records and get your money money/belongings back. But Nick had a point they aren't going to get far so there isn't much point of them having it on their records.

OT: I wouldn't suggest a fine, because their parent's would have to pay, and it's not fair for having such stupid children. I wouldn't suggest community service because I don't think helping your community is punishment, I'd find that more rewarding then anything. I wouldn't send them to juvie because most kid's tend to act even "tougher" with a bunch of little kids that went there for getting in blood baths at school. I'd consider real jail time. Ask your district attorney if that is a possibility. It only seems fair that they get the real punishment and have to spend time in jail with some real "thugs". Possibly they can even get slipped the long worm wonder. (If you know what I mean.)

That should keep them from the real world for a while and make them think over their actions. Temp-bans are just useless nowadays.

 

They're kids everyone makes mistakes. I'm sure they already learned from it when they got caught, if not they'll make another mistake in the future and pay for it.

 

I believe that all purchases must be accounted for at the very least.
Perhaps, as the crime was committed against several people, I would hope that you require these teens to have a minimum of 100 hours community service at the place of your choice.

 

I don't see why you get any say in what their punishment is? That doesn't go on round here... I don't think.

Anyway, I don't think you should try to get it on their records, it'll effect future jobs etc, meaning they're even more likely to turn to crime for income in the future.

I did that when I turned 17. I got 30 hours of community service, had to write a letter and had to spend a day in the police station.
