Cheapest and Best VPS to run bots on?

Hey I've decided to look into getting a VPS any recommendations?

 

Why do some people use VPS's to bot on? Is it because they can claim their account to have been hacked?

Forgive my ignorance but, what is a VPS and how would you use a BOT with it :S?

It's basically a computer you rent and have control over. It's on 24/7 which means if you bot it won't hog your computer resources, which allows you to do what you want.

Doesn't hog your resources.

Yeah but you get your own desktop and bandwidth etc so it pretty much is just a lower spec computer that you own.

 

I find Louis' explanation a bit more adequate. Sure a 'virtual space on a server' is what it is, but it's a lot easier to understand by saying:

It's basically another computer running something for you on a different internet (because that way it doesn't lag you).
However, a way it is different from a computer is it can host dedicated servers e.g. RSPSs etc. (depending on how much guaranteed RAM it has)

 

couple of questions:

do you get to see like the GUI of the OS running? like a live stream and be able to move a mouse and all, or will all of this be done thru the OS's command promt,

if you get a live stream of the GUI , how laggy is it, and can you monitor the BOT ? or atleast check on it?

Yes absolutely. you configure VNC to able to monitor and star the bot. It's quite simple.

 

How much does it cost for one that would be able to run a bot and maybe some web browsing?

I've been looking into purchasing one as well, but I have a few questions. Can you be scammed by buying a VPS? If so, where's a safe/trusted place to buy one? What's the go around cost usually? Is it easy to set up? Monthly fees? Does your bot lag on it if you are running, per say, 3 characters?
