    So World of Warcraft...

Well first of all I quit runescape 2007 on the wilderness update, in 2005 I was top #13 on runescape leader boards!

Now that I'm 17 I reckon this game has more people of my age group!

I need to know a few stuff about wow:

1.) How long ruffly to fully get used to all the controls and tabs?

2.) How much are millions also what's a poor/average/rich amount of wealth on the game?

3.) How long would it take to reach the highest level let's say if I play 2 hours a day?

4.) To get the full experience how much do I have to pay upfront before I'm actually playing?

5.) Is this one of those games were I must have joined a long time ago, or can I still join now and be one of the best?

Alright thank's to all that help answer my questions!

    So World of Warcraft...

i use to play for a year, but now im gonna make a new account and start again :) so ill answer some of your questions

1.) How long ruffly to fully get used to all the controls and tabs?

probably a full day of playing

2.) How much are millions also what's a poor/average/rich amount of wealth on the game?

100 gold is alot for some people. heres some costs of items: when you reach level 30, it costs you 30g for your mount + ride training, alot of level 30s have a hard time with that because there constantly buying gear from the auction house.. which is useless because they just level out of the gear.

then at level 70 you get flying mounts, which cost 5000G for training/mount (for epic flying)

3.) How long would it take to reach the highest level let's say if I play 2 hours a day?

probably a month if your just questing, 2 months casual play.

4.) To get the full experience how much do I have to pay upfront before I'm actually playing?

15$ for the game? then later you buy expansions, if you just buy the main game, you can reach level 60, then if you buy burning crusade (which unlocks the tauren and blood elf class) you can reach lvl 70, then if you buy the wrath of the lich king, you can be lvl 80.
they also have a new expansion comming out (idk when) where you can be level 85.

5.) Is this one of those games were I must have joined a long time ago, or can I still join now and be one of the best?

no, once you reach level 80, you can go raiding and stuff for gear, once your raiding, the game really starts to get fun, and thats where you get good gear, being a old player just means you have more practice and experience.

    1. like a day

    2. wealth really varies from realm to realm and person to person. ( although i'd say if you have ~10k you're getting along fine)

    3. Your first toon i'd say around 10 total days of playtime to get 80, so at 2 hours a day 120 days.

    4. You need to pay $20 for vanilla upfront to get to level 60, to train past 60 you need another $30 for burning crusade, and to get past 70 you need $40 for wotlk (all these prices are retail prices)

    5. I'd say it's possible to start now and be one of the best, (especially since they keep making gear easier and easier to get -.-) however, you'd have to do lots of research on your class and understand it all.

You can also try having somebody "refer" you to the game, which means if you level with them you get 3x the xp up until level 60 when you're playing with them, and usually they'll help you with gold and your class. Sometimes they'll even get some of their friends to run you through instances so you could get 60 pretty fast.

Thank's for the replies guys, so a couple of months and I'll have the best stats in the game is that what your trying to say also, you didn't tell me how much gold costs I can easily spare money to a game if its worth it.

Thank's for all your efforts to answer my questions, but I'm clearly not interested in this game doesn't show anything challenging for me and just reminds me of a glossed up version of runescape I'm going to stick to HALO but thank you people.

You're right, someone not knowing something about a game they've never played before is worth pointing out.

    So World of Warcraft...

    Riding training is different now.

~10g or so for a 60% speed increase mount + training at level 20
~50g or so for a 100% speed increase mount + training at level 40
~250g or so for a 150% speed increase flying mount + training at level 60
~4200g for a 280% speed increase flying mount + training at level 70 (if you're exalted with SW or orge if you're horde I think)
1000g for cold weather flying to let you fly in northerend at level 77 (or 68 if you already have an 80.)
