Possibly an option to put your thread on Post approval, mainly to reduce spam on a serious topic.

    Just an idea.

I mean no ones going to want to sit there and approve each topic, that's why the RaS section exists.

not topic. post! the guy who made the thread goes to the thread and sees "hi noob, you suck at RS" and hits, "decline" then sees, "this topic is very interesting, my views on it are........." "accept"

you're thinking about it all wrong.

So you're suggesting people to approve posts? Wouldn't that be even worse..

The cons out weigh the pros entirely, yes it would reduce spam but it would also cause a lot of work for the person that made the thread, especially if they have more than one active thread going at a time. Also, the author could just deny all posts by a specific user if they want, even if the post is completely relevent.

This could be abused. If user A makes a thread "selling rs acc" user B posts, and wants to buy. They are trading, but user A recovers the account after. User B wants to post "do not buy, he scammed me, here's proof" but user A doesn't approve that post, so he can continue scam until a moderator arrives.

That would probably go under the rule of giving regular users staff powers.

accusing somebody of scamming on a thread is infractable anyways, you're supposed to report in RaScammer

    So it doesn't matter.

No, it's not. Accusing without proof is intractable. But accusing with proof is not only allowed, but also appreciated.

People often post on threads accusing people of scamming w/o proof, and thus making them look like a scammer..
This happened to me once and I was banned, therefore I support.

most of the time, nobody post's proof until they RaS, and say "So and so is a scammer, don't trade" so the post is infractable.

A few scared off customers is one thing. Scamming is much worse. And some people do post proof when accusing. Those should be visible to all members.
Why should the thread starter have more knowledge about the rules than the poster anyway?

You have never been banned for scamming...

Allowing users to regulate posts appearing on their threads opens up too much potential abuse. The OP would remove any disagreeable posts regardless of their credibility. I agree with Sindrefyrn's point.
